17.01.2022 To all our lovely students, after months of quarantine Queensland has officially eased restrictions on many activities, including dance classes. However, in the interests of public health and safety there are many new regulations in place. Here at Latin Energy we will comply with any official regulations given. It is what's best for us, and it is what's best for you. This is new for all of us, and there will be a period of trial and error and adapting to the new regulations. ...We will do our best to communicate with you every time the regulations change, which may be often over the coming months. We hope for your understanding and cooperation during this. Studio Rules 1. If you are feeling sick AT ALL, with a cough, runny nose, temperature, or generally feeling unwell - DO NOT COME TO CLASS. 2. All classes must be booked through our studio bookings app. This is to ensure we have an accurate record of who attended, and each person's contact information in case this information becomes necessary. 3. There will be size limits in our classes. 15 people maximum for solo classes, and 6 couples maximum for partnerwork classes. You must pre-arrange your own dance partner for partnerwork classes and there will be no changing of partners during class. 4. Social Distancing is to be maintained during classes. We will have markings on the studio floor to help you keep the correct distance. 5. Washing and sanitising of hands at classes is essential. Also please avoid touching your face. 6. No lingering after or between classes will be allowed. We at the studio will have to sanitise all surfaces, before, between and after classes, and will need to the students to vacate the studio for this. 7. Please bring your own water bottles, as we are not allowed to operate the communal water dispenser. We are very excited to be dancing again, and we appreciate these new habits will feel strange at the start. However if we all do our bit, we will be able to keep dancing as life returns to normal. Girls returning from Melbourne having the COVID virus and been out in public for 8 days enjoying themselves and spreading the virus. We want you all to be safe and please if you have been to these places on those particular dates, please get yourself tested. Public Health Alert ... Community members on Brisbanes southside are asked to remain alert but not alarmed as Queensland records three new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The first case is a 19-year-old woman who tested positive after travelling interstate last week. She is an employee at Parklands Christian College on Brisbanes southside. Queensland Health is working closely with the school which has temporarily closed until further notice. The second case is a 19-year-old female travel companion. Both cases travelled interstate together last week. It is believed they contracted the virus in Melbourne, Victoria. The third reported case is a known close contact, a 22-year-old woman, who tested positive later today. This individual is an employee of YMCA Chatswood Hills Outside School Hours Care. Queensland Health is working closely with the school and the care centre, both of which have temporarily closed until further notice. Our Dance clinic will still be held Saturday morning as we will work solo on technique and musicality. Bachata timing workshop with Cristina and Marc is still on on Sunday 29th. Solo work. Our free intro class and Social are cancelled for obvious reasons. We are taking every measure to sanitise the studio prior to start of the classes and during. Handwash, hand sanitiser, anti bacterial wipes and gloves are available. We will change our group classes format, minimising contact. Please if you are not feeling well, stay home. Lets all be vigilant. We will be dancing again
