20.01.2022 Dear LV students and supporters, The new year will bring some changes to the way LV Dance operates. While we have LOVED the beautiful space we’ve created at 66 Pilkington Street, we are saying a sad farewell to the studio at the end of this year. But the dancing won’t stop!... LV Dance will continue to offer Zumba classes on the same days and times as it does now, in new venues that will be confirmed shortly. Performance courses will no longer run across four terms throughout the year; courses will instead be offered according to performance opportunities that arise. This month and next month: Classes are continuing as per the timetable Our final casual class in the studio will be Zumba at 5.30pm on Wednesday, 23rd December - please come along and make it a memorable one! Our final event is ‘Under the Stars’ on Saturday 12th December in the studio car park. We will be transforming the outdoor space for a special evening of dance, food, friends and fun. This event is not only our Christmas celebration and studio farewell party, it is also LV’s 12th birthday! That’s 3 special reasons to come together and make some dance memories on an extra special night. Zumba classes will continue to run at 9:30am on Saturdays, and 5.30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. A reminder that multiclass cards will remain valid for use into the new year. Saying goodbye to our beautiful studio after three years was an extremely hard decision to make. I can tell you that the single biggest factor making that decision so hard was the fact that this space means so much to so many of you. I know that many of our students rely on the LV studio to escape your daily stresses, take time out for some self-care, and spend time with other incredible and supportive people. I hope that if you love your Zumba (or want to start getting fit the fun way ), you will continue to support our Zumba classes in the new year so we can maintain that same amazing atmosphere of FUN, SUPPORT and FREEDOM that we have enjoyed together in our studio. For our fantastic performers, I hope you will stay connected with LV Dance so that when the opportunity comes along to take the stage again, we can all reunite and shine brightly together. We will have the same amazing instructors for performance courses in the new year so you can keep learning from the most fun, supportive and experienced team. To all our members, multiclass pass holders, performers, casual visitors, and sideline supporters, THANK YOU for making this studio such a special space and for all the memories we’ve created there together. Don’t stop the music let’s keep dancing together in 2021.

We had two Instructors lined up to fill in for Jodie while she attends a training today, and they have both fallen ill. Jodie will be back for Zumba on Monday. We hope you can join us then!

07.01.2022 Next Sunday we will be running a fundraising BBQ at Hudsons Coffee Townsville for Legacy and for a new facility opening soon that will be a central place for defence personnel to access a range of services. If anyone from our wonderful dance community would like to come along and lend a hand, one extra helper on the day would be fantastic. If you need a coffee on the way to attend an ANZAC Day service, Hudsons will be open from 4am.

07.01.2022 My 5-year-old made her stage debut today. My girl seemed calm and confident on stage, and I’m so proud of her just for getting out there! I couldn’t help but reflect on the roller coaster of emotions it takes to step out in front of audience. LV has been creating this opportunity for adults for more than 10 years now. ...
