12.01.2022 Have you ever thought the clefs look a bit like fancy letters? It's quite hard to spot unless you know what you're looking for, but that's where the symbols came form. The treble clef evolved from the letter G, while the bass clef, also known as the F-clef, came from the letter F. One clue is that the treble clef curls around the note G its stave, and the bass clef centres around the note F. Can you see it now?
