25.01.2022 We have found another rotating house, this time in Connecticut named Circambulant House or as it is also known The Round House. It uses German engineering, local steel and stone from the Dolomites and it can rotate 360 degrees for panoramic views from every room. The 72 feet diameter house takes 45 minutes to do one full rotation. What sets this house apart from the other rotating houses is that the rotating mechanism is almost invisible. It uses the same mechanism used to rotate guns on warships and a small motor. This house was constructed in 1968 by the architect, Richard Foster. He lived there with his family for 35 years before the house sold upon his death in 2002. When this lake gets full, the water spirals down into a creek that is hundreds of feet below.
