22.01.2022 Just over a week until this year's Steamfest and Taste of the North West at Sheffield. There will be a free shuttle bus between the 2 events. Only a 20 minute drive from Latrobe and we still have Camp sites and some accommodation available.... https://www.facebook.com/SheffieldSteamfest/ https://www.facebook.com/tasteofthenorthwest/

20.01.2022 Cat of the Day Meet Prince, a lovely 12 yo boy from Perth Tasmania. He's a regular visitor with us, and another of our well travelled pet guests, with only WA and ACT to still cross off his to do list. Here he has claimed the turn around drivers seat as his own, and I'm fairly sure those eyes are asking me what I'm doing in his motor-home.

18.01.2022 Are you, or someone you know wanting to get away over Christmas but think you may have left booking too late? We still have some van and camping sites available for both powered and non-powered happy campers. Book online or phone us on (03) 6426 1944.

17.01.2022 Dog of the Day Meet Jilly, a lovely 10 year old who was a rescue dog a few years ago. She loves her family and other people, other animals, she's not so fussed about. She also loves tummy rubs. Her motto is "Why stand when you can sit, and why sit when you can lay down?" Although sitting here, the slide into lay down is about to happen.

13.01.2022 The Easter rush is over, we have plenty of space again. Have you packed your caravan or camper ready for leaving Tasmania and heading back home, or are you a Tasmanian heading off for a warmer winter adventure? We are located only 10 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania port, so come and spend a few days here before boarding to go north. Drive through sites and late check out available. Pet friendly, with a dog park across the road.

13.01.2022 The weather is warming, and there's a long weekend about to happen. So far the forecast is for a few showers, but this is Tassie so don't let that put you off, get out there and explore. It's a big weekend for Arts and Crafts, with fairs being held at both Latrobe and Deloraine. If craft isn't your passion then there are lots of places to enjoy nature, with walks around Latrobe itself, the Henry Somerset Orchid Reserve not far away, and the Tasmanian Arboretum in spring glor...y at Eugenana. We still have spaces available, so indulge yourself with a weekend getaway to Latrobe. https://www.facebook.com/trulytasmaniancraftexhibitionandsale/ https://www.facebook.com/tascraftfair/ https://www.latrobe.tas.gov.au//Latrobe%20Walking%20Tracks https://www.facebook.com/tasmanianarboretum/

12.01.2022 Dog of the Day, Meet Sally, a 13 y/o from Mullumbimby, she's been travelling in Tassie for 4 weeks. Today she is enjoying napping in the warm afternoon sun. She's a daddy's girl and didn't like being away from him during the boat trip to get here, but settled after a day or so once off the boat. Hopefully her boat ride to get home will be a bit more relaxed with a t-shirt in her bed to snuggle into.

10.01.2022 Dog of the Day Meet Jack, he's 13, from Launceston, and he loves going tenting with his family. Keeping still for the camera wasn't going to happen so here he is ready to go for an adventure.

09.01.2022 Dogs of the Day, Meet Holly and Spencer, from Hadspen Tasmania. This is their 4th time out caravaning with their family and they are loving it. Lots of adventures with day trips out and about and all those new smells. I'm sure they'll be ready when the big trips happen.

08.01.2022 Only 2 and a half weeks to go until the Truly Tasmanian Craft Fair here at Latrobe. 2nd 3rd 4th November. Lots of wonderful hand made creations including timber craft, jewellery, fabric are and much more. We still have van sites and some accommodation available if you would like to stay for a few days to explore this wonderful event and the surrounding countryside, but book quickly. https://www.facebook.com/trulytasmaniancraftexhibitionandsale/

03.01.2022 Spring is certainly upon us, trees and flowers are blooming happily. If you love all things floral it's a wonderful time of year to get out and enjoy them. Latrobe is a great "home base" to stay and visit what the north-west coast has to offer. This weekend 4th, 5th 6th October is the Devonport Orchid Society show at Spreyton. October 12th is the Tulip festival at Wynyard, October 19th is the Cherry Blossom Celebration at Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden.... So many spring events, plus beautiful flowers happening everywhere, a wonderful reason to hook up that caravan and travel. See more

03.01.2022 Dog of the Day Meet Charlie (Charlie Brown), he's from Norwood near Launceston and loves travelling with his family. He has a wonderful furry patch on his travelling area in "his" car.

01.01.2022 Dogs of the Day Meet Bella and PJ from Miena, Great Lakes. They love everyone, for the last 2 years they have been "shop dogs" and have been used to greeting tourists and locals alike. Now they get to be the tourists themselves, complete with their luxury camping kennels.
