23.01.2022 Premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews announced yesterday the gradual easing of restrictions in Victoria from 11.59pm tonight. Despite easing restrictions to all...ow sport and recreational activities to include 10 people while adhering to social distancing regulations, Cycling Victoria continues to advise against group riding as the regulations currently stand. As we all know, bunch riding is safest when it is a tight, cohesive and continuous cycling unit; this cannot be achieved under the current social distancing guidelines of 1.5 metres. We are working with Sport & Recreation Victoria and VicSport on a government process (and documentation) to support a return to play and further advice and guidance will be provided. We also strongly recommend all cyclists download the COVIDsafe App to help play our role in minimising the spread of COVID-19, look after our community and speed up the easing of government restrictions so we can get back to doing what we love quicker. 12.01.2022 Due to the changing situation in Victoria as a result of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the 2020 Baw Baw Classic has been cancelled. The Warragul Cycling Club lo...oks forward to celebrating the event's 20th anniversary in 2021. "The club has made the difficult decision to cancel our plans for the 2020 Baw Baw Classic. We are especially disappointed because this year would have been the race's 20th edition, said Warragul Cycling Club President and Race Director Karin Jones. We have made this decision because of the uncertainty around when competition can resume in Victoria and the event’s reliance on sponsorship." The event will have a new date in 2021 to be announced at a later time.
