09.01.2022 La Trobe Uni has an incredibly rich creative history which spans back to the day LTU opened its doors in 1967. This university has produced phenomenal working artists over the decades, who have contributed not only to Melbourne's creative community, but taken that artistry all over Australia and the world. Throughout lockdown, we've seen theatre continue online at La Trobe Student Theatre and Film and through the theatre program. Performances have reflected the hope, resi...lience and humour of many students pursuing a creative career. It's really embarrassing that La Trobe University has proposed to cut the theatre program and other arts and humanities programs from the curriculum. Make sure you contribute your voice. Ask your academics what you can do to support your programs. And if you're a theatre alumni, student or community member, read below on how you can help the theatre program in their application to continue their work.
