23.01.2022 Dear La Trobe University Baseball Club Community, As these are unprecedented times, the committee would like to inform you of the information that we have to date. Unfortunately, the Winter 2020 Season will not begin as originally intended. As instructed by Baseball Victoria (our governing body), all baseball clubs have been instructed not to participate in any baseball activities until 1st June 2020. If this date does not change, we are expecting the first round of Winte...r Season to begin on 13th June 2020. Our club consisted of over 70 players and volunteers in 2019, please feel free to stay in contact with your fellow players/volunteers to stay connected with the club. La Trobe University Baseball Club members are great people and willing to help those when needed where and when they can. We pride ourselves on helping others in our baseball community. If you are in need of a chat whether to discuss the latest show you are watching or talk about the best game of baseball you played, please reach out to members (including committee members & coaches) in order to make this absence from Baseball to go faster. Contact us using our Facebook page, Instagram or email anyone who listed on our Contact us page on our website. As we are aware that this pandemic may alter your intentions for the winter 2020 season, we would like to ask you to fill out the survey below so the club has an understanding of numbers of the 2020 season if the season commences. Correct link - https://forms.gle/ZqVHZSmfKtKMG6PB6 If we receive any information about the upcoming season, we will be sure to share that information via email, Facebook or TeamApp. Hoping that in the next month we will be able to provide you with training dates starting in June. We would like to thank all our members for their understanding during these unusual times. We cannot wait to see everyone when Baseball starts in the 2020 season. Stay safe, stay healthy and we will see you when this is all over. Thank you for your patience. Kindest regards, Christina Brasacchio Secretary La Trobe University Baseball Club

14.01.2022 Hi all, This Sunday (22nd Sept) is the annual Moss-Leake Memorial game between La Trobe University Baseball Club and Fitzroy Baseball Club. We hold this match to honour the memory of Graham Moss and Karl Leake, who were legends at both clubs. It's a day of fun and real unity between the two already closely-linked clubs, and all proceeds from the day will be going to charity. The game will be held at Merri Park, with he day beginning at 12pm and the Game beginning at 1pm. ... We'd love to see you there, step into a uniform and have a bit of fun with your mates to honour these two fantastic blokes.

13.01.2022 Girls have a win, but the big highlight is our own Steph Orwin hitting a Grand Slam. Eva definitely has a good role model in her mum. Women win 21-0.

13.01.2022 It is the time of year where we get to show off our field, watch and host finals Baseball. Over the next few weeks we will need volunteers to help out in various jobs on the Saturdays. There will be a poll to set out times to help and where you can help with. Times will vary (depending on time of games) and the jobs will be field duty, canteen and beer tent (beer tent might not be needed for some weeks) Please help out when can so we can spread the load of work for out club.

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, with the season in full swing it's time we shifted training to a more dynamic approach. As of this week Tuesday will be trainings for the 1's and 2's. This means players in the 3's and 4's, Tuesdays will become optional. My (DArcy) attention will soley be on the 1's and 2's to make sure they are getting the appropriate work in. Wednesday (Thursday after this week) 3's and 4's will have my full attention. This day is when guys will be doing bullpens, field work, ...more in depth training with the coaches while Damo looks after the 1's and 2's. Doing training like this will give the coaching staff the best opportunity to work with everyone more on an in depth level and help everyone train to the level they need to improve. The way this will work is that the day you train is determined by where you played the weekend before. If anyone has any questions about this please let any of the coaches know and we'll be happy to discuss!

12.01.2022 What's up fam for those of you that haven't seen our stories, it's your President Marc Heenanhere and Im really excited about this season. A new committee, new players and a new journey. I love going to church on a Saturday and by church I mean trying to hit dingers and shagging flyballs.... We have a young enthusiastic committee, starting with D'Arcy Mills my second hand man and Vice President, Christina Brasacchio is the Secretary and Austin the treasurer. Other general Committee personnel are as follows; Shannon Crawford, Peter Gillson, Sean Docking, Gideon Vt Smith and Derek Nguyen. Each one of these people contribute and donate large amounts of their time behind the scenes to construct a cohesive club culture and atmosphere. We will be shining a spot light on them as the start training and games. Its my pleasure to announce Damian Preston as Club Coach he will be taking the helm for 2020 and you'll be hearing plenty from him soon and throughout the year. @Latrobeunibc Check out our posts and stories and Instagram https://instagram.com/latrobeunibc?igshid=1m6xhdehh7yep, also download team app to keep up to date on team announcements latrobeunibaseballclub.
