24.01.2022 You've seen the field being redeveloped, but did you know we're working on the clubrooms too? New flooring is going down this week, with new furniture, and more changes happening in the new year!

23.01.2022 Two more sleeps until the season finally begins. The club is super excited to announce our 1s captains for the 2021 season: Women - Erica Brodie, Jess Boyd and Meryl McGlone Men - Robert James... All players are long-term Gunners and on top of being amazing hockey players, they are highly respected around the club and set the standard at training and on game day. Congratulations to these players on their appointment for the season.

13.01.2022 Construction continues as fast as possible on the new field. Unfortunately, at this stage, games won't commence until Round 5. We're working with Hockey Victoria on the fixture and alternative grounds. Training may be able to begin sooner, we'll keep you posted.

11.01.2022 It's been the longest wait between games but finally Round 1 is here! Great work the by the committee and all the coaches and captains on getting all the teams on the park this season, it has been a massive effort and a lot of admin over the past 12 months, especially with COVID and trying to manage the construction of our field. This Mixed Summer Hockey Series will be held at Parade College, Preston Campus (behind the Stolberg) and we are inviting all players from Seniors to Masters to juniors, beginners and newbies. 05.01.2022 This week is Game Education Week. Check out the range of sessions Hockey Victoria are running to help across all aspects of the game. Just because we're not playing doesn't mean you can't get better.

05.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day. We've had a tough year and unfortunately there's going to be some more tough days ahead. Hopefully everyone is doing ok and it's perfectly ok not be ok. Iso is extremely tough but just because we can't see each other doesn't mean we can't look out for each other. Now is a great time to check in on teammates, friends, and family. Starting a conversation could change someone's life but following up is just as important. Here are some useful tips to help. If you need help yourself, feel free to hit any of board, committee or teammates. We are all in it together and we look forward to getting to the otherside and back playing hockey. 05.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who supported the club with our Gunners Wine fundraiser. We sold 782 bottles raising thousands for the club! Congratulations to Phil who referred the most sales, Kube who won the magnum, and Sheepie and Jojo who each win a ticket to our next Reverse Raffle. The wine will be ready to collect from the clubrooms in a few weeks, we'll contact buyers soon. If you missed out on putting in an order, get in touch before Friday!

04.01.2022 Check out this great footage by Tom Lawson of the ground's redevelopment. The biggest difference you may notice is that the ground has been shifted five metres towards the creek end (and there's no "Steve"). As of Saturday, the ground has been fully levelled and the unexpected rocks have been removed from beneath. Great work by Polytan and Darebin City Council.

02.01.2022 If you pass the ground you'll see construction fencing is up, and they're nearly ready to break ground on the field redevelopment project. We'll share a timeline and designs soon. At this stage, it looks like pre-season and the first few rounds will be played at alternative local grounds, we'll update you when we can.
