21.01.2022 Further update for review

21.01.2022 Absolutely fantastic to see some of our junior players back out on the pitch having a kick in the game that they love and have missed over the last 6 months. Smiling faces, kids swapping teams so as they all had the chance to have a run, just football at it's best. The LVSL would like to say a big thanks to all the kids and parents that attended and abided by the COVID safe plans we needed to adhere too. Also a big thanks and well done to Moe United Soccer Club who put on a g...reat night and ensured that the grounds were ready to go for our first night. If you are interested in having a kick or would like to enter a team please email [email protected] or [email protected] for further details.

19.01.2022 Important 2020 Junior Update and information

17.01.2022 It is with great sadness that the LVSL soccer community has been advised of the passing of LVSL Life Member and GSL Hall of Fame Patron, Mr Ron Steel. Ron passed away peacefully overnight at the great age of 95. Ron was a former league secretary and board member for many years. Ron was also instrumental in developing the sports junior competitions in the 1950s and was extremely passionate about the development of our junior players.... Ron and his son Ken were both also acknowledged by the naming of the Steel Cup in their honour for the then U21 Competition. Ron saw active service in WW2 as an Officer in the British Navy and was aboard two vessels that were blown out underneath him whilst he served. Those that knew Ron will acknowledge his sharp wit and excellent memory, even in his later years. It was fantastic to see Ron still active and attending junior and senior finals, presenting trophies to finalists and sharing many fantastic stories. We would like to pass on our condolences to Ron’s family, in particular to his son Ken who is still active within our soccer community. Ron, we thank you for your service to Soccer and the wider community. Rest in peace.
