07.01.2022 LVTC Swim Squad Update Triathlon Australia discourages ongoing group training activities through until April 30th 2020. This decision will be constantly reviewed in line with the changing nature of COVID-19 and will be updated throughout. ... While the sport of triathlon is the lifeblood of the LVTC, Triathlon Australia and the state associations have taken the position that group training and sanctioned competition are an increasingly difficult proposition in todays climate of social distancing and maintaining good hygiene. All members should adhere to the Australian Governments guidelines regarding social distancing. We recommend you review the need to train as part of a group in close proximity. The Triathlon Australia Board has also made the decision to withdraw all sanctioning from events and races on our scheduled calendar from 9am 19th March 2020 until 30th April 2020. This is inclusive of triathlon club events and applies to all events irrespective of participant numbers. This is a difficult time for all Australians, and we urge everyone to show patience and respectfulness in line with the core values of triathlon.
