24.01.2022 Good evening everybody, the start of the season is getting close. Our registration day is tomorrow from 11am til 3pm at Churchill Park in Invermay. There won’t be any activities tomorrow we will just be registering players and answering questions. We will also have some equipment for sale. So we are COVID complaint there will be a register at the front gate, we ask you sign in as you enter the grounds. And don’t forget that NTSA will be holding there first BBQ tomorrow afternoon. Please feel free to join us and get to know the Launceston Softball Community.

However the NTSA season commences this weekend and to Celebrate the NTSA are having a meet and greet BBQ after the last women's game. Kicking off about 3:30pm at Churchill park. All food is provided and drinks are available for purchase from the canteen. All we ask is for a gold coin to go to our charities. There are more details to come as well as introducing our new batter up coordinator. So spread the word 2 months til gloves go on for another season.

12.01.2022 We are an approved CLUB for TICKET TO PLAY To be eligible for a voucher, children must be: living in Tasmania;... aged between 5 and 17 years old at the time of application; and be listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card (either their own or their parent, guardian or carer’s) or be in Out of Home Care. In the 2020-21 program, each eligible child will receive two vouchers worth $100 each which can be used both at one activity provider, or at two different activity providers How to apply for a Ticket to Play voucher You can apply for a voucher by clicking this link https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/tick/apply-for-a-voucher For each application you will need: Relevant personal details of the parent/carer (name, address, contact details) Relevant personal details of the applicant (name, date of birth) Centrelink customer reference number (CRN) for parent/guardian and applicant If your application is approved you will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address by clicking on a validation link. Once your email address is confirmed, you will receive a second email with your Ticket to Play vouchers. Present the voucher to an activity provider when you register your child for membership. You will need to show your voucher code(s) and Health Care or Pension Concession Card. The activity provider will reduce your membership fee by up to $100 per voucher. If the full membership fee is less than $100, the voucher can only be used for this amount. For example, if membership costs $80, the voucher will cover the whole amount. If the membership fee is more than $100, you will need to pay the rest. For example, if the full membership costs $150, the voucher will cover $100 and you will pay $50. If you are using two vouchers at one activity provider, the vouchers will cover membership fees up to $200. For example, if membership costs $150, the vouchers will cover $150. 10.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone, just a quick reminder that batter up is still on and welcoming new members. We play every Saturday at 11am for about an hour catering for the players from about 5yrs through to 8yrs old. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Hope to see you there.



09.01.2022 About LAUNCESTON BATTER UP Launceston Batter Up is a fun skills-based program designed to introduce kids to the basic skills of Softball like hitting and throwi...ng whilst developing teamwork among participants. Our main objective with the Launceston Batter Up is that the kids have some FUN. The Launceston Batter Up is based on Softball Australia’s Batter Up. We are looking for players from the age of 5 through to 12. We play on Saturday mornings at 11am at the Churchill Park Softball Diamonds. our sessions only go for approx. 45 minutes. We run for 6 weeks in term 4 of 2020 and 6 weeks in term 1 of 2021. We will be holding a registration day on Saturday the 7th of November at Churchill park from 11am until 3pm The first 6-week block will be from Saturday 14th November until the 19th of December. We will send out more information as our season draws closer.

05.01.2022 Good evening everybody I hope you are all as excited as I am for the first weekend of batter up. Thought I’d share a couple of things ready for tomorrow. 1) What to wear? So long as the kids are wearing clothes that are comfortable and allows movement for running and throwing. THEY MUST HAVE A HAT. 2) What to bring?... Most equipment is supplied, if they have there own glove and bat feel free to bring those. 3) COVID requirements? As you enter Churchill Park there is a register. Sign in as family group. Equipment will be allocated to each player at the start of the session and returned at the end. Any shared equipment will be sanitised between use. Sorry for the long post and I look forward to meeting you all tomorrow at 11am @ Churchill Park

04.01.2022 Hi Everybody, We are just 5 short weeks away from another Fun fill Launceston Batter Up Season. But before we do that, we need to do the paperwork. Below is the link to our online registration form that needs to completed before the start of the season. Our program costs $60 for the season and can be paid either at our registration day on the 7th November or our First round on the 14th of November. Our Registration day runs from 11am until 3pm at Churchill Park. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message. **NOTE** * When registering players are listed as Sub-Junior when selecting Player type. ** Please disregard that the form says 2019/2020 season. This is an error in the system. At completion of the form you will be Registered for the upcoming season.
