While the Hobart Chargers, St.LukesHealth NW Thunder Basketball and St.LukesHealth Launceston Tornadoes will always compete strongly on the court, the clubs recognise the need for open and productive collaboration off the court to develop basketball in Tasmania to its full potential. The Chargers, Thunder and Tornadoes deliver the ...very successful Tasmanian Government funded Basketball in Schools Program and their respective club President’s have agreed today to work together across the state to ensure that young basketball players have access to the best possible coaching and mentors. This will not only ensure a further lift to the standard of basketball in Tasmania but means that professional basketball in Tasmania emerges from COVID-19 stronger than ever before.

12.01.2022 This morning the St.LukesHealth Launceston Tornadoes Chairman Neil Grose announced that Sarah Veale has re-committed to the Club as Head Coach for 2021 NBL1 season. Veale played 74 games for the Tornadoes between 1994-1997 and was a part of the 1995 CBA Championship winning team.
