19.01.2022 Men’s Clothing for ages 20-45 needed A call out to all the men. We are in desperate need for men’s clothes for the 20 to 45 age group. The ladies have been cleaning out their wardrobes but not so much the men. Thanks ladies, now it’s your turn guys. Help us fill the men’s rack with clean, quality clothing. Jeans, trousers, shorts, T shirts, shirts, shoes, jumpers and hoodies are all needed. Ladies, if the men don’t do it, clean out their wardrobes for them. If they haven’t worn it for a while we’ll find someone who will. Donations can be delivered to 5 Innocent Street, Kings Meadows between 9.00 and 12.00 Monday to Friday, or we can pick up if needed, just call 6344 4213. Nothing donated is sold, it just goes to a new home. Thanks heaps everyone.

18.01.2022 On Saturday we had the privilege of distributing toys and Christmas hampers to many families in Launceston who needed a little help this Christmas. A huge thank... you to the ABC Giving Tree and to everyone who supported the ABC appeal this year for making this possible. Thank you also to the staff and volunteers of the Society who gave up their day to help with the distribution. A little kindness this time of year goes such a long way. See more

07.01.2022 Its great to be sharing this wonderful project with our friends at the Rotary Club of Tamar Sunrise and through the generous help from Hydro Tasmania. These Homeless Care Packs consisting of swag, sleeping bag and backpack full of food, toiletries and knitted items will be of great value as we support those less fortunate in the Greater Launceston Area. Thanks Hydro and Tamar Sunrise for partnering with the Launceston Benevolent Society to help those in need.
06.01.2022 Here at the Launceston Benevolent Society we are so grateful for the wonderful support we receive from the community which in turn allows us to support those in... our community doing it tuff. Yesterday was an example of this support with the Launceston Saints Supporters Group presenting the Society with a $500 donation. Also, an amazing effort from the staff at Coles Mowbray who donated a number of trays full of Christmas food for our Christmas hampers. A big thank you also to the people who have been dropping in food parcels and toys for Christmas. Our combined effort will put a smile on the face of many children and their parents this Christmas.
