25.01.2022 Watch Live | Lakoseljac Statewide Cup Semi Final - Olympia Warriors vs Launceston City

25.01.2022 Well done to Peter Savill and the Under 16 Boys squad on an outstanding season. The boys ended up undefeated across 30+ games and eventual champions in three competitions which included the Northern Championship, NTJSA U16’s and the 2020 Launceston Cup. Many thanks go to all the parents who helped make this happen also to Martin Robards and Peter Savill who coached these boys with a real passion to win and be their absolute best for every minute they stepped out onto the park.... Also a big thank you to the U16’s Team Manager Justin Vogelaar on ensuring the boys are organised and informed! Last but not least a special mention to the team captain Solomon Clarke for leading from the front with passion all throughout the season which is an embodiment of the side. Big thank you to Nathan Fellows and the Freestyle FX Signs team for their awesome sign work for our Champion teams! 24.01.2022 The Under 18’s played their first match of the Youth Championship Series this afternoon at Churchill Park. Two penalty saves from Ari Johnson and a first half equaliser from Will Fleming wasn’t enough to get a result against a strong South Hobart outfit who scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure a 3-1 away win. Thank you South Hobart for travelling up for three competitive matches today. Safe travels back home and we’ll see you in 2021!... 24.01.2022 Last Thursday our club was invited to Prospect High School to run a football session as part of a grade 4/5 Sports Gala Day. It was fantastic to see so many students opting into football; with over 40 students from Glen Dhu Primary, Summerdale Primary and Hagley Primary all participating. Special thanks to Prospect High School for hosting us, our Junior coordinator Alex Aylott and Blaise Fagan from Football Tasmania for overseeing the day; as well as Prospect High students an...d Launceston City FC Youth players; Solomon Clarke, Zac Buchanan and Rihanna Binns for helping out on the day. We look forward to many more events like this where we get to engage in our local community and hope to see many of these students taking up football in the future.

23.01.2022 Congratulations U/13 Devil Girls - Runners Up in the league by only one point after a win over the league winners today. Coached by Andrew Wynter and Richard R...eilly the Devil Girls have ranged in age from 9 - 13 years old and had some players in only their first season! Under the guidance of Andrew and Richard the older players have taken the younger girls under their wing and as a team shown massive improvement. We look forward to seeing these girls continue to develop through our female pathways and hopefully continue to enjoy their football as much as they did this year! 'JD’ steps into this role as a five-time Launceston City Best and Fairest Winner and long-time captain of our club through the 90’s and 2000’s. Northern Championship is an important steppingstone for our Youth players as they transition into NPL State League; and to have someone of Justin’s stature in this role is an exc...iting step forward for our football club. With JD’s passion, football knowledge, playing experience and black and white running through his veins, we look forward to seeing Justin pass those qualities onto our playing group. Further to this announcement, Launceston City Football Club would like to announce the re-appointment of Wayne Wager as our Northern Championship 1 coach in 2021. In his first year in the role, Wayne fitted in seamlessly, eager to assist the club in the right direction.
