25.01.2022 March 2020 Meeting: OPEN's ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING combined with ... The "Launceston Computer Group (LCG)" will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, 2020 at 1.00pm. The main items of business will be the presentation of the annual financial reports and the election of 'NEW' office-bearers A short monthly meeting will follow the AGM -.-.-.-.- All members of the clubs are invited to attend as we are always looking for new ideas and feedback on how the club is performing. 18.01.2022 O.P.E.N. - Older Persons Electronic Network will be re-opening for classes from Monday the 25th of May. Due to the current Covid-19 virus restrictions there is a maximum of 10 people allowed to be present (including tutors). Sessions are 10am to 12pm, 1pm to 3pm Monday to Friday and 7pm to 9pm Tuesday evening. If your membership is still current, each 2 hour session fee is $8.00. 13.01.2022 O.P.E.N. - Older Persons Electronic Network - We are open at - 4/1 Pipeworks Road South Launceston TAS 7249 Australia (In behind the RSL (Launceston Returned Serviceman’s League)) which is in Wellington Street. Are you that older person that needs help with learning to use your computer, laptop, iPad, tablet or mobile phone?... OPEN computing volunteer tutors are able to help you get the results you want from your device. We can also offer assistance in word processing, spread sheets, graphics, photo editing and family history. We can help you with technical advice on software and services such as internet and phone plans. Sessions are 10am to 12pm, 1pm to 3pm Monday to Friday and 7pm to 9pm Tuesday evening. Annual membership is $25.00 to cover insurance etc. Each 2 hour session fee is $8.00. For more information or booking a session, please phone 03 6343 4928 between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday.

11.01.2022 OPEN Computing COVID-19 Announcement As a consequence of the COVID-19 virus situation, OPEN Computing has made the decision to suspend all group class activities from Thursday the 19th of March until there is a Government Health System declared improvement in the safety of meeting in groups. To maintain some form of computer support for members Dennis Murray will check for answerphone messages and emails every couple of days... and will negotiate arrangements with individual members where personal assistance is required (e.g. venue, date and time).
