10.01.2022 Launceston Conference Centre was very proud to host our first big live event after COVID on Friday 25 September. The Commission for Children and Young People Ambassadors Statewide event with over 150 people. This was a high quality event and program, creating the leaders of the future, making a difference in the lives of young people in Tasmania. We were so grateful to be a part of this event. 06.01.2022 Dear Conference Centre Clients and guests Here at the Launceston Conference Centre, we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all those who attend our facilities. In light of the ever evolving COVID-19 outbreak, we have been closely monitoring the recommendations provided by the relevant health authority, and we are reviewing our approach regularly. ... Some of the measures that we are implementing include: 1. Wiping door handles regularly. 2. Leaving doors, including meeting room and external doors, open where we can, in order to minimise your need to touch the door handles. 3. We have purchased additional hand sanitisers, which can be easily accessed in most areas of the building. 4. We will regularly clean and disinfect all tables and chairs. 5. We are also aware and actively supporting the government’s social distancing recommendation for this period of time We ask that whilst you are utilising the conference centre you adhere to the following guidelines.: 1) Practicing good hand hygiene. 2) If you are feeling unwell, we encourage you to stay at home. Your business is important to us, however your health and safety is our highest priority, so if you feel the need to cancel your event, we are here to assist.
