22.01.2022 All though it is very much still summer, winter will be here before we know it! Here at the Launceston Eye Doctors we are collecting knitted squares (ideally 6inch in size) to create blankets to donate to those in need. We have plenty of wool available in our waiting rooms so please feel free to give it ago while waiting for your next appointment.

16.01.2022 Dr TzeYo Toh was born in Sarawak, Malaysia. He graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1999. Dr Toh has a special interest in Glaucoma, Refractive and Cataract surgery. Dr Toh and his wife Cecilia share two young children.

05.01.2022 Dr Downie was born in the UK and came to Australia in 1966. He formed The Eye Hospital in 1993, being the first Ophthalmologist to offer Laser Vision Correction Surgery in Tasmania. Dr Downie also has a special interest in corneal treatments. He is married to Dr Claire Kingston and they have five children.

05.01.2022 Dr Andrew Patrick was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the year 2000 he was awarded Registrar of the year while working at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital. In 2008 Dr Patrick left his practice in Johannesburg to join the Eye Hospital in Launceston. Here he continues to work as a general ophthalmologist with a special interest in oculoplastic and cataract surgery.

03.01.2022 Dr Lucy Goold grew up in Newcastle, NSW, and completed her medical training at the University of Sydney. She undertook an Oculoplastics and Orbit fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2015. Dr Goold has particular interests in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery, thyroid eye disease and cataract surgery.
