Launceston Kayak Tours have a selection of Hobie Kayaks you can choose from when participating in one of our kayaking sessions. Hobie Kayaks are easy to maneuver on the water and have pedal drives to keep you moving along.

22.01.2022 Yesterday we met with the four other recipients of the Recovery, Economic Resilience Grants funded by Bell Bay Aluminium through West Tamar Council. To say were excited to receive these funds would be an understatement! 19.01.2022 We put our new Hobie Outback Kayaks in at Tailrace this morning. Beautiful blue skies with a cold Southerly blast gave us a little bit of chop on the water. Not too unpleasant. We saw a pair of Sea Eagles too!

15.01.2022 Thanks for all the new likes & follows! I guess we should tell you about ourselves. Launceston Kayak Tours is a locally owned and operated by Aran Price. He started doing kayak tours on the Tamar river in 2016 using Hobie Kayaks because he loves Hobies ( yep theyre pretty cool and easy to use ) and thought the local Launceston rivers provided a different way of experiencing the town and its waterways. ... Aran has 13 years experience in tourism and tour guiding. Working in some of the most remote locations around Tasmania and Australia. Also its pretty hard to get a photo of him without his sunnies on.

04.01.2022 Lots of enquiries about kids participating in our kayak sessions. Ill answer some of the most common questions here. We allow children from the age of 7. Depending on the individual child they can either operate their own kayak or share with a guardian, we have double kayaks available. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Kayak Session per child is $40. Send us a message if you have any other questions!
