24.01.2022 Looking forward to sharing together in our Christmas Eve Service!

23.01.2022 The Kings Meadows Final Celebration Service Will be Live Streamed At https://live.omnia-app.org/

19.01.2022 Roderick brings God's message for us today. "How are you all feeling today? Full of energy . . . or tired? Christmas is coming and we all get busy, but this year has had a lot of uncertainty and unique challenges. Today marks 98 years of the ministry of the Kings Meadows Corps and there is sadness as this Corps draws to a close. However "the church" is the people of God, not the buildings, and people who grew up in this faith community will still carry forward the faith le...gacy of this church. The Launceston Corps will be celebrating 137 years this month, but will we still be relevant to the community in 15 to 20 years time? This is an important question to ask. John writes in Revelation 3:2 "Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God." I want to share with you now our Corps Based Social Programs which are our practical expression of God's love for our community. Those opportunities that have flourished during the pandemic restrictions we will seek to grow in the coming year. What does God want to do amongst us with the gifts that the community have provided to us? Our partnership with Way FM and Dominoes has born fruit in the connections we have made in our community. 50 to 70 individuals each week. We have had new opportunities open up through this time of cover -19 as some activities have been restricted but other’s have opened up.

18.01.2022 Are you able to bless a family this Christmas by helping to provide all the goodies needed to share Christmas lunch together? If so, the Launceston City Salvos would love to hear from you. Our Christmas Hamper Love Bags are available again this year and now ready for pickup. Shopping lists are included for what to place in each bag. You may wish to fill this yourself, or pick some up for your workplace, school or community organisation and ask others to join with you in the j...oy of filling these bags with Christmas goodies. These will all be distributed in the Launceston area in the week prior to Christmas. Bags can be collected from the Launceston City Salvos office, 111 Elizabeth St, or you can call our office on 6323 7500 to make arrangements

09.01.2022 As the people of God we are to do good works in His name as a practical expression of our faith. Our Social Programs are the Salvation Army’s practice expression of God’s love for others, expressing God’s love with out discrimination. Galatians 6:9-10 will be my focus now to see what God is saying to us today. Our Oikos tree is a representation of our connections to others that are on our hearts. Are we growing weary of growing these connections and opportunities of show ...God’s love to them? Our Oikos is a pathway to helping people to find freedom in Christ. We can experience a spiritual weariness as we continue to pray for those we want to bring into God's kingdom. I spoke at the beginning of the year that there is a period of time between sowing and reaping, and if we are faithful to God’s purposes we will see the harvest. Let us not grow weary of doing Gods’ work, then God who is faithful has promised that there will be a harvest!

01.01.2022 Kelly, Anita, Jeremy, Jason, Jan and Mark lead us in singing - Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus, to reach out and touch him,... and say that we love him. Open our ears, Lord, and help us to listen. Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus. Roderick challenges us each to press into the Holy Spirit today and ask Him to reveal opportunities to reach out to someone who needs Jesus. Roderick prays "We thank you Father for sending your son Jesus to establish a direct relationship with you, and offering salvation that makes us right with you Let us never become weary of seeking where you are at work in peoples lives, and responding to your Holy Spirit to connect and encourage those seeking freedom in you."
