11.01.2022 Out and about doing some deliveries today! . Our YAG team have been working hard during school holidays and a pandemic, continuing to come up with ideas to stay connected and speak to our local media

10.01.2022 *YOUNG LOCAL LEGEND* Kyle Cos . Age: 20 years old .... Kyle is an international student who finished his studies last year at Launceston College. . Kyle is a regular volunteer at Shekinah House Inc, and regularly takes part in their Sunday evening program, providing a free two course meal to single homeless people who are sleeping rough. . During the height of the COVID pandemic, Kyle supplied Shekinah House with hand sanister bottles kindly donated by Deputy Mayor Danny Gibson to give out to people during meals night. . Kyle also donated some of his own money, and essential items such as food and toiletry packs in April. Kyle is continuing to volunteer and serve our Launceston community until he returns to his home country in the Philippines. . 08.01.2022 *YOUNG LOCAL LEGEND* Pabitra Subba . Age: 23 years old .... Pabitra is from Bhutanese society in Launceston who has been working actively to support her community in order to initiate successful integration of Bhutanese people in Launceston since 2013. After working as a women coordinator in Australian Bhutanese Society of Northern Tasmania for a few years, she started working as vice-chairperson of this community. . During the COVID pandemic, Pabitra has continued to support her community while face to face services have dropped. This has included support with high school online education, and Centrelink support such as creating online my gov accounts. . Pabitra is also one of our health heroes working as registered nurse at the Launceston General Hospital. . Do you know of a Young Local Legend who has supported their community during COVID?
