Most of the posts are about cafes and restaurants (pick up and delivery of course), but remember there are many more non-food related businesses that need our support. Find local small businesses that are still trading and see if you can use their services. It could be trades, gardening, and any shops that are that are still open in the hope of selling something. They all have costs, some have staff, and the...y all need your support. When thinking of buying local, go beyond the stomach and look around your house. A new round of Queensland Government Small Business Grants is now open with applications due by the end of August.... The Small Business Entrepreneur Grant is for the engagement of a consultant, advisor or business coach for up to 3 months. Funding available is up to $5,000 and the closing date for applications is 30 August 2019. This round of grants also includes the new Small Business Artisan Producer Grant. This grant is ONLY for artisan producers in the food sector (see grant for definition if you are not sure if you qualify). The grant is similar to the Entrepreneur Grant (above) as it is for the engagement of business consultants, mentors or digital experts.Funding available is up to $5,000 and the closing date for applications is 22 August 2019. The aim of the grants is to assist in establishing or growing businesses based in Queensland.
