11.01.2022 YARRA VALLEY A ground and air search has been launched in search of a missing Yarra Valley teenager on the autism spectrum. The family of the William Wall, 14, alerted emergency services after the boy did NOT return following his daily walk along the Warburton Trail at 6.45am this morning. ... Victoria Police media advisor Nikki Ladgrove said police launched an air and ground search for a teen with high functioning autism after he went missing in LAUNCHING PLACE. Ms Ladgrove said William told his family he would be gone for 15 minutes but did NOT return home. Police and family hold serious concerns for William’s welfare as he may become disorientated without food due to the length of time he has been missing. The air wing, specialist solo’s units and uniform members from the SES volunteers were part of the search. William is described as 177cm, with a lean build, mousy brown hair and has a lazy right eye. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jumper, dark-coloured track pants, black runners and had a hydration pack across his chest Anyone who sees William or with information is urged to contact Mooroolbark police on 9725 9999.
