22.01.2022 Accountability is about more than setting a goal and having someone check-up to see if you did what you said Effective accountability is a sliding scale that runs from safe to accountable Think about your school days, when you thought the teacher wasn't watching. You could drift off into a daydream, or write a note and pass it to your friend in class. That's the opposite of being accountable, it's under the radar and safe ... On the other extreme is being asked to stand and recite your times tables in front of the class. 08.01.2022 Does this sound completely counterintuitive to you? Are you thinking how on earth do I actually deliver my course online without having some tech in play? When I say keep away from as much tech as possible, I mean deliver a course with the least amount of tech you can, aka the minimum viable product version of your course. What is this you ask? ... It means the minimum you need to actually deliver on the promise you’ve given to your students. Your goal is to move your students through a series of steps without all the bells and whistles if they are not essential to the outcome. For example, plan out all your content, know your outcome and then deliver the content live and record it, send the link to the recording to your students, take payment via a bank payment transfer and have a closed facebook community for support. Simple! This way you get to road test your course without getting bogged down in tech. Want to learn more?
