24.01.2022 Congratulations to @smallsdeli who were the winner of our ‘Where art meets the everyday’ social competition that we ran during our recent collaboration with local artist @_agnesstudios. - Em and Benni from Small’s don’t only happen to be our lovely neighbours but also wash and dry all of their tea towels and @worktones aprons at the lab. This was also their daughter Nomi’s first art exhibition and she chose this artwork ‘The Wave’ as the first prize which she told us she was going to hang in her room next to her big girl bed. - Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event such a fun experience.

The humble duvet is a breeding ground for dust mites and bacteria, as well as collecting sweat and skin cells from us in our sleep. Considering we spend up to 1/3 of our lives in bed, we recommend washing them at least once every few months, or twice a year. Synthetic fibre duvets should be washed in a large machine on a normal spin cycle at 60 degrees. Dry in the tum...ble dryer, or in direct sunlight outside. From today, we've decided to offer a social distance friendly bag drop service to serve your laundry needs while observing social distancing and minimising shared surfaces. For the time being, say goodbye to self-service and hello to wash, dry and loose fold by none other than the two owners @carlitosccs and @tdankbaa...r. We will be processing your laundry in gloves and masks and following best-practice when it comes to laundry. Our new hours will be 8am-7pm. 09.01.2022 **Keeping our Community Safe** As COVID-19 spreads, we are taking additional safety measures under guidance from the Chief Medical Officer and World Health Organisation in order to do what is in the best interest of our customers and staff during these uncertain times. We believe it is our duty to protect our community especially while there are so many unknowns. As laundry services are a necessity in the area and even more important during this period, laundrlab will remain... open with normal operating hours. However, the following changes to our service, experience and procedures will be effective immediately. We will now limit the number of customers to four at any given time to help control community transmission by enforcing social distancing. We also strongly encourage you not to stay or congregate in the space while you are waiting for your laundry to be done. To help with this, we are happy to offer to move your washing to the dryer during staffed hours. You can also conveniently check the status of your loads remotely using our website or app. Additionally, there will be no self-service folding on-site. As difficult as it will be for us as hosts, we will also adjust the way we interact with our customers to minimise contact and increase distance. We have hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes available near the entrance and we urge you to use them. We are taking extra precautions when disinfecting all surfaces, handles and touchscreens. This will be done on a regular schedule using hospital grade disinfectant. We have a complimentary Rinse the Machine sanitise setting on our washing machines, which cleans out any leftover residue from the previous customer. We ask that you use this before every load. We also suggest that you wash as hot as your textiles will allow - our hot wash at 60 degrees is what the World Health Organisation recommends is most effective against the virus. Finally, thank you for supporting our new small business during these difficult times. Like everyone else, its been tough for us to plan a course of action but we are doing everything we can to give the community access to essential services while trying to keep you safe. We have implemented the following in our laundry to ensure our customers and staff are kept safe: - We have a registered NSW Health COVID-19 Safety plan - Hand sanitiser and ethanol wipes are available for every customer upon entry - All customers are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while inside the laundry... - We have a Rinse the Machine cycle to sanitise the washers at 70 degrees before every use - All staff sanitise upon entry - All staff have their temperature checked daily - All staff wear masks and gloves while delivering our services or during close interaction with customers - We deep clean on a mandated schedule - We use @zoonoglobal surface spray on all shared surfaces which is registered as a disinfectant for use against COVID-19 by the Department of Health Therapeutic Goods Administration - We have extended our opening hours (7am-9pm) to allow for more physical distancing Thank you for your continued support.
