21.01.2022 Saturday week ago I raced at Bendigo Kart Club, every race I was turned around, finished 7th On the Sunday I did a few laps at South West Kart Club until it rained. Last weekend I went to Rochester Kart Club tried pretty hard and did my person best time in Heat 1, even faster then when I raced Golden Power Series last year. Yet again the same 2 new drivers turned me around in heats 1, 2 and 3 in the final I finished 6th. ... Thanks to Brett and Adam of A1 Engines for your advice. Also thanks to Beau and Kirsty for the encouragement. Currently not sure when or where I will race next. 21.01.2022 Over the weekend I raced at Rochester Kart Club for the first round of the Golden Power Series It was very hot all weekend making things challenging. I qualified 11th which was a bit disappointing as this my favourite track to drive ... Heat 1 started 11th and finished 11th Heat 2 started 11th and finished 21st after the kart in front of me spun on turn 1 and I had no where to go but into the side of her kart. Heat 3 started 16th and finished 17th I was moving forward in the field half way through the race. I had a kart in from of me as I went into turn 2 I tried to work with him and get us both through the corner ahead of another kart and let’s say it didn’t go to plan, with me riding a wheel and going across the front of the other kart. Final I started 17th and I have it all I had and drove through to 7th, but I got a bit tired and the heat got to me and I dropped back to finished 9th. Was pretty pleased with my final result. Not sure where we will race next. Thanks to those that helped over the weekend. Rohan for helping mum change my engine, I know mum can do it on her own but your assistance was appreciated. Beau for the lend of a trolley after we popped a tyre on ours, plus all the other little bits of support. Brett of A1 Engines for the support with the motor, it’s a great engine to drive with. Special thanks to now fellow KA4 Heavy driver Cadel Taylor I did really enjoy the super doppers and water after the races, your a great sport. Mum you did a great job setting up the kart, it took all weekend to get to where we need to be but you did yourself, I enjoy our weekends away together. 09.01.2022 Over the weekend I got to race at the DPE Kart Superstore Victorian Country Series On Friday evening I got to have a bit of fun with great friends getting photos taken helping out Darrens Sportography showcase what he can do for drivers. Qualified 9th on Saturday ... Sunday we woke to a wet track and I was pretty nervous about racing in the wet, I went for a track walk which helped a lot. Heat 1 started 9th and finished 11th in the wet. Heat 2 started 11th and finished 6th was super happy with my driving putting all the advice into practice. Final started 11th got spun in turn 1 went back to 17th but drove as hard as I could back to 10th. Lady Luck was not on my side but I gave it my best. I appreciate all the advice I have received on my track walk. Thank you Thanks to Rowan and Beau for helping when mum was under the pump with work on the kart. The little things are appreciated. 01.01.2022 Last weekend I was lucky enough to race at Ballarat Kart Club. Saturday I went well and was really pleased with my times, Sunday every time I went out to race about 2 laps in it would misted with rain, and the track would be extremely greasy. One of the heats I did come 3rd on slicks in the damp. Just before the final it poured and I decided to call it a day. ... Even though my racing was not so great on the Sunday, it was a great weekend with mum and our friends many great laughs where had. Thanks to everyone that supported us over the weekend.
