22.01.2022 Yesterday we marked the 1 year anniversary of Victorian Environment MP Lily D'ambrosio coming to the Strathbogie Forest to announce the Immediate Protection Areas (IPA) to save critical greater glider habitat. A lot has happened in the past 12 months, most significantly for the greater gliders, it is the extensive loss of habitat in southern NSW and eastern Vic. That's why we are calling on Lily, Dan Andrews, Jaclyn Symes and departments to provide permanent protection to the... Strathbogie Forest so we can ensure the survival of this species. This tree and many similar to it provide critical habitat for the Greater Glider population, which recently has been divided into 3 separate species. 05.01.2022 I love a good hand gesture! I think we can all learn to speak with our bodies more to help communicate our words, our feelings and our dreams for this shire, state, country and planet. Was so great to pop into town for the Euroa Market. The local Rotary Club did a fabulous job making the market a Covid safe event and it was great to see the stall holders' and shoppers' smiling eyes and hearing the chatter of conversation and echoes of laughter. Coming together as a community ...is so vital to our wellbeing and mental health. I hope we can continue to gather safely and responsibly as we ease our way out of lockdown. It will be gradual, and there will be many guidelines we'll need to follow, but today's return of the farmers market made my heart sing and my soul soar as we once again shared space and stories, hopes and ideas as the creative, resilient and caring community we are.
