24.01.2022 Multitasking = folding + trash TV + massage ball My feet are so sore when I get out of bed at the moment and then by the time I get in bed, they ache I already spend time on my Shakti mat, rolling out or stretching every day but my feet need more attention and I don't want to spend more time just working on my feet. So instead, I fold washing, watch trash TV and roll my feet out.... Who else gets sore feet when they get out of bed? Laura

22.01.2022 Returning to exercise classes post ISO... Some people never stopped training during isolation. Some people took it a little lighter. Some people took timeout and focused on rest and recovery.... Whatever choice you made, it's ok. Gyms are now open and whether you choose to return to your regularly sessions, take a new exercise route or soak up some recovery time, make sure it's the right choice for you. Do not choose exercise out of guilt or punishment. Do not choose rest because it's the easiest choice. YOU'VE GOT THIS! Laura

18.01.2022 Hands up if your kids went back to school today . How are you feeling? I held it together until about 3 minutes after I dropped Karly at kindy .... What are your plans for the day? Just me and Summer today We started with a feed then my first workout back since having our little Boo. I took it super light, focusing on breath and core connection. I did 15 full body workout including a flow. My goal is to safely returning running with a strong pelvic floor and core. Basically, I don't want to be busting to pee everytime I run or peeing when I sneeze! 16.01.2022 When I started training at the gym, I was taught to squat "bum out." I no longer teach this. When I became a PT, I was taught to teach squats, "bum out, don't let you knees past your toes, sit back in your squat." I no longer teach this.... When I became a REHAB Trainer, I was taught "Neutral spine" This is what I teach! It brings exercise and functional movement together and I love that. Being a REHAB Trainer means I have access to some brilliant movement specialist who teach us the most up to date techniques. I love that they are never afraid of saying "this has changed" or "this works better." Instead they teach us to understand muscle imbalances and movement dysfunction so we can correct it and have more functional and less painful movement for life

16.01.2022 This kid LOVES our @shaktimats Brax is 8 and way past having a day nap but we still encourage him to listen to his body and rest when he needs it. 10.01.2022 My #hellofreshau experience... Spoiler! It's AMAZING. A few weeks ago I got a Hello Fresh discount code from a friend and thought "what the heck." So now here I am eating my rosemary and walnut crusted chicken with salad and roast potatoes and it is delicious! In this photo is one third of the meal.... Summer (baby #4) is 3 months old and I had gotten in to a pretty solid habit of eating peanut butter sandwiches, baked goods or nothing at all The Hello Fresh order I get is designed to be 3 different dinners for 2 people, however dinner is not the problem for me, it's lunch. So I cook up one of the meals batch it straight up in to 3 lunches and BAM! a healthy and delicious lunch is prepped for the next few days. Yes, you still have to cook it, most of them take around 30mins to prep and cook. But the ease of opening the fridge, pulling out a meal bag and knowing all the ingredients are right there, ready to go is just too good! 05.01.2022 Removing pressure... Some time in the next 10 weeks we are going to welcome a beautiful little girl to this world I know the emotional roller coaster that comes with babies in that first 12 months and while I'm optimistic that my mental health will be better this time, I am also REALISTIC. I have had post natal depression and anxiety twice, the odds are stacked against me. . I struggle with the changes in my post pregnancy body. I look back at all my training, which I do b...ecause I love, and think "Why did I bother?" Its irrational and I know growing a human is far more important but I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to my pre pregnancy clothes not fitting. . So here I am, actively removing pressure from my wardrobe. These are clothes that definitely do not fit now and will not fit once baby arrives. I still love them but I am in no rush to squeeze back in to them. For some people, I guess these clothes are motivation but for me, I feel like crap when I think, "Oh it might fit" and then it doesn't. . It's okay to have body goals but be kind to yourself! You aren't on this earth to hate your body. .
