24.01.2022 It’s been about 4 months now since I stopped dyeing my hair in the hope I would see some of my wisdom streaks coming through. I have always dyed my hair black since being a teenage goth and I just love the way the dark hair looks on me. At the moment I am seeing a lot of my natural colour with its new highlights coming through and I am determined to keep going with the transition back to natural hair. At 44 I don’t have a lot of greys yet but I am sure they will be making an appearance soon. Have you transitioned to from dyed to natural hair? How did you find the process?

21.01.2022 I was really drawn to share this Card and it's meaning with you all today. This is the Whale card from my #saltwaterreadingcards It's Key word is GRIEF, and it's message is a reminder that grief and the sadness of losing someone is something that never really goes away but that we instead learn how to navigate our way through. Like the Whale makes it's annual migration up and down the coast we too, each year, journey with our grief. The annual reminders like birthdays and ...seasonal celebrations often are particularly painful. The whale asks us to remember to come up for air and to breathe deeply of our surroundings, especially when we feel like we are drowning in our sadness. You will make this journey of moving forward without someone or something you loved, many times in your lifetime and it does become more bearable as time goes by. The day will eventually come when you will break through the surface and feel yourself breathing deeply of the beauty around you and you will once again smile with the memories of the person or things you have lost. Take some time to breathe today, look at your physical surroundings, acknowledge where you are on your personal journey and reach out to someone if you need to chat, memories are often sweeter when shared. 18.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that it’s a long weekend here in NSW so I am not working today. Instead the kids and I are doing some gardening as our little vege garden is looking a little neglected! We have an abundance of parsley and cherry tomatoes and not much else at the moment so we will be endeavouring to get some other yummy stuff transplanted and potted up today.
18.01.2022 Today’s message comes from the carpet snake who is here to remind us of the importance of Home. Home being our safe space. The place we go when we need to retreat from the craziness of the world around us. Often our house is home. The place we return to at the end of a long day to curl up, rest and recharge. When I think about my safe space, I am taken to my childhood home on the hill, circled by the plateau, with its familiar smells, sounds and the familiar flora and fau...na that I grew up making friends with. Some times home can be a feeling, a memory, an emotion. Sometimes it’s not so much a physical space or place as a mind moment that keeps us company and helps us know we are safe and loved. The smell of the eucalyptus or the scent of rain falling on a hot afternoon. The voices of those we love, the natural world with its familiar colours and seasonal patterns. My online Nature reading course - Using Nature as an Oracle is offered as a 12 week interactive online course that teaches you how to you connect, observe, document and interpret messages from your natural environment. In this course we look at how we can form a relationship with our immediate environment. Understand the specific energies of different ecosystems along with the attributes and less...ons we can learn from the many and varied flora and fauna that live within them. You are encouraged to spend time in natural spaces, observing and documenting your encounters. There are journaling techniques and suggested activities that work to develop your intuition and connection to the changing landscape, the natural cycles and seasons of not just our physical environments by our internal landscape as well. If you are already practicing nature based or intuitive modalities then learning how to interpret messages from nature can add new tools to your skill set and deepen your intuition and connection to spirit as well as the Country they are living on. 17.01.2022 Today's card is Dragonfly. It's message is one of clarity. Dragonflies are associated with the element of air and represents clear thinking and clear knowing. It's transparent wings offer insight and transparency with situations you may be facing. Dragon flies can hover and appear to almost stop before darting off again in a different direction and this reminds us that we need to not only look at situations for other perspectives but be open to change plans or move quickly w...hen the clarity arrives. The dragonfly encourages creativity and freedom as it moves with grace and purpose and it herald a period of honesty and answers. 11.01.2022 Thought I might grab a new deck and look at some options for what direction I should take moving forward with my business while waiting for my husband to finish his doctors appointment. I have found this year super challenging in some ways yet really rewarding in others. I feel I know myself better. I am more honest about my own insecurities and weaknesses. I have learned new strengths and found direction in chaos. Today I was hoping to find some clarity as to what this crazy... year is leading me to. This card Mutable Moon - Nothing is yet set in stone, makes me nod with understanding. I guess there is more learning to do, more things to discover about myself and those around me. The initiation that is 2020 isn’t yet complete. I am still evolving, changing, still learning how to wield and stand in my own power. It’s not time to set down solid plans just yet. 10.01.2022 TURTLE - Instinct. The turtle hatchlings represent our natural instinct - the imprinted knowledge we inherited at birth. When the turtles hatch they are very vulnerable. As they run towards the ocean they are so tiny and in a brand new world they cannot even see. They hear the waves and they "know "they must make it to the ocean if they are going to survive. We are all born with natural instincts and as children we trusted them as we grew and learned and explored the world a...round us. The strongest of those instinct is survival. Our intuition is always wary; our subconscious is always on the lookout for danger as well as trying to navigate us towards our life path - the thing we were born into this world to do. Let your instinct guide you. The sea turtle urges you to consider what you are here to achieve. If You are feeling pulled towards a change of direction or feel a calling to follow your dreams, the tiny sea turtles are here as affirmation you should indeed follow your instinct and do what ever it is your feeling drawn to do. Sometimes it’s scary to take a new direction and we may feel fearful or anxious of what will happen and that’s okay. 06.01.2022 Today's card is the Red bellied black snake. This snake represents independence and holds a very strong female energy. It is a reminder that you don't have to do everything yourself or be alone in order to be Independant. Independence simply means that you are responsible for making your own decisions and living with the consequences of your own actions, surround yourself with those who allow you to live your life the way you want and will support you to be the strongest mos...t independent version of you that you can be. The snakes specific colouring and energy has a strong feminine energy, it is a reflection of the strength of the women we surround ourselves with, those we descend from, those we look up too and encourages an appreciation of female sensuality, sexuality and reproductive cycles. This snake often make an appearance when we or someone we love is moving through rights of passage such pregnancy, labour, first menses, during menopause, birth, and death, as well as honouring our ancestors and those connected to us via our blood line. When this card appears it prompts us to ask ourselves the following questions- *Who around us supports our decisions without judgement or without trying to make the decisions for us? *What do you need from others right now to support you in your journey? *What rites of passage or events of significance would you benefit from honouring at this time? *What rituals do you use to acknowledge your own growth? 05.01.2022 This is my PENGUIN card and it's message is all about trust. The inspiration for this card was the fairy penguin which is the only penguin that nests in the mainland of Australia. Because they are so vulnerable given their size and the difficulties they have manoeuvring when not in the water, they do most of their moving around at night. The rising sun in the picture symbolises their journey back to the ocean as morning breaks. This card shows up when we need to look at thos...e who we have allowed into our inner circle. What are our own intentions in regards to those who we are closest to? Have we been honest about who we are? Are we acting with integrity in the relationship or friendship or do we have ulterior motives? When life get difficult, when we can’t see where we are going, we need to depend on those we trust to help l guide us through the obstacles. We need to know they have our backs and that we have theirs. 04.01.2022 Today's Card - SUGAR GLIDER Sugar glider asks us to be brave. To find the courage we need to take that leap of faith and jump into the unknown. You are stronger than you feel and more capable than you imagine yourself to be. Like the sugar glider, the universe is asking you to leap into what it is your afraid of and know that your will find that support comes to greet you as soon as you make the decision to trust. You will be supported on the journey. Just Go for it! You w...ill never know what you are capable of if don't even try. Fear often comes up as a way of keeping us in a place we are comfortable and familiar with. It’s our intuition tapping us on the shoulder to let us know that what ever it is we are contemplating is big! Sometimes fear can be our friend though and affirm for us that what we wish for, or wish to do will bring change, excitement and a deeper level of self awareness and empowerment. It’s only scary because we haven’t done it before and learning new things will often make us feel uncomfortable but that should not stop us from growing, evolving, exploring and transforming ourself and our comfort zone.
