I see so many people at all levels get motivated and take on any challenges that’s ahead of them at the beginning of the year and thennnnn reality hits -holidays over -work starts -school starts -life starts -actually start going to the gym not just saying it -eating better and then the excuses start and 2months later the famous I don’t have the motivation anymore comes out and find a reason to stop or blame someone else usually the PT or the gym . -I didn’t get results fast enough -hours don’t work with my hours -I cut cals for 6 weeks why isn’t anything changing -this is too hard , there too hard on me NOOOOOOOOOO look in the mirror be accountable for yourself and YOUR OWN ACTIONS and find what you WANT to achieve. Not a goal when your motivatied for that split second that never lasts longer then 2 months . You want to achieve something THEN DO IT! 24.01.2022 Strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team ! Last weekend truly showed that @teampowerelite Athletes are made from steel and they trust the process. Last weekend blew me away of how amazing each athlete competed.... You could see each individual had there reasons to be there and compete and complete there goals on the platform. So many tears of happiness were shred for most individuals , as well as tears as a team . I can’t explain in words how proud I am of each individual #pocketrocket #powerelite lifter and what an awesome family we are. It was a long day but worth every minute seeing everyone achieve there goals first timers, novice and state lifters alll got up after a shit year of no competitions and smashed it. I can’t thank the bossman @thepeachprofessor enough for making this happen for our team , thank you to all loaders that took there free time to come spot and load allllll day and to every lifter thank you for believing in yourself. I knew you could do it and there’s many more PBS to come. Some to hit on the @apunsw platforms next year. My post would never end if I named all my lifters hahah I had over 20 lift on Sunday. What a day ! 19.01.2022 WHAT A NIGHT !!!!!! Last night was truly on my list of one of the BEST DAYS/MOMENTS OF MY LIFE.. everyone at @teampowerelite #pocketrocket came and celebrated my 30th and we celebrated hahah. I arrived and had to wait to the final piece of the puzzle arrived then my bossman and bubbles lead me in to one awesome set up with everyone alll my Power Elite /Pocketrocketts family in there cheering and ready to party. I was so shocked and so overwhelmed by what was done for me! I... cried (currently still crying writing this) . Then the #mcs Trent-toes and gym mumma donna wrote a beautiful speech (cried again ) that lead to bossman speech. My coach /my inspiration/ my saver and the one that has made me the lifter /coach I am today surprised me with from himself and the boys and more my personal Pocketrocket light up sign !!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see I was shocked and so so happy and wouldn’t stop crying ! Lots of hugs and happy tears ! My wonderful Pocketrocket family weren’t finished they surprised me with boxes within boxes within boxes ahhaha a huge amount tattoo gift voucher ! As you can see the joy and happiness on my face in the photo ahhah. I heard so so so many put In for my presents and I want to thank you all so so much . I’m still in shock ! Then the party began and I ended round 1am hhahah. Everyone that came to celebrate with me I really hope you had an awesome night. Everyone that bought me and made me gifts I love them !!! 16.01.2022 I don’t know where to start!! This whole month has been one incredible, well achieved, lots of love and appreciation especially my birthday weekendssss!! From the beginning of the month starting with #icnbodybuilding and #anbbodybuilding competitions for my girls Then @gpcaustralia Sydney cup qualifier breaking records !! Test day with the crew @teampowerelite ... Then my awesome awesome party that was set up by power elite and Pocketrocketts team . Truly one night that Is on my list for the best night of my life ! Can’t thank everybody enough ! Then my actual birthday starting with my boys surprising me with presents night before then morning of with Pocketrocketts barbell club ,cupcakes , fairy bread , lifting , music, more presents and everyone having a great time ! Ending with my family BBQ and cuddles from my niece. Couldn’t go too loud on the Sgro’s bogan birthday with our little girl but was still a traditional bogan birthday hahahah! Most of us respond to pain by seeking comfort , finding safe spaces ,we consume ourselves in media that confirms our personal beliefs. ... We take up hobbies that we know we are good at , or that are enlightened with our talents. The limits that we create and accept is also what people , especially close people see us which they love n appreciate about us. For some these limits feel too restricted and then when we least expect it we question those limits and want to aim for bigger and better dreams. We are inspired to make changes, We break those restrictions those shackles .To do this it’s very hard work and self discipline. Be prepared when you put yourself out there self doubt and Pain is right there waiting for you. Most people that were motivated and only a little inspired will quite then and have more self doubt and get tired up in there shackles again ! 05.01.2022 Been working on #benchpress for over 6 weeks now with the awesome team @pbphysio - fixing and adjusting all round week points, lots of rehab training and being patient. Also #pbphysio has taken a look at my other 2 lifts #squats #sumodeadlift and made adjustments and gave more weak point training improvements . Which are working extremely well ! @optimal Physiotherapy for my dry needling #ouch @thesportandhealthclinic for chiropractor And always @teampowerelite bossman alw...ays coaching , giving me the correct training program and tools for me and getting me where I am today . Backing my intensity off and working on #bodybuilding high volume to help build mass , improve weak points , give joints a break on constant heavy 3 lifts and focus on the execution and process of each lift more and more has really made a lot of improvements over the last 6 -8 weeks. Heading back into VBT @gymaware @flex.stronger training for my lifts and increasing weight and intensity each week is sooo exciting’. 02.01.2022 One thing is for sure: You will never reach any great level of success without commitment. Being committed means you put your goal, your dream, before ANYTHING. 01.01.2022 The only way to overcome is to hang in. Dan O'Brien (Decathlon) First @gpcaustralia equipped competition done and dusted ! Thank you so much @warriorperform for a great day and very well run comp. So good to get back on that platform ... Wanted to qualify for #gpcaustralia nationals in equipped and worked out well this week was my peak week of my training leading into @teampowerelite end of year test day in 2 weeks with the fam!!!! This year definitely has not been the best for PBS for me or test days . A lot of lessons to learn and still learning especially listening to my body and cutting back hours! Now learning how to use a #euippedpowerlifting suit . Walked away with 225kg squat -National record 95kg bench -not equipped as we have been working with @pbphysio to fix my arm I had surgery on. Today was a great bench day after a long time. It’s building nicely and will be in a #benchshirt for Nationals. Sumo deadlift 185 , 195 was amazing off the floor but locked was slow on catching up haha. Technically things to fix booom Body weight 59.6kg Hanging in there to hopefully finish with a better test day and a lot of things will be changing from now and more after !
