23.01.2022 What is the meaning of 'Self-worth'? If we possess self-worth we'll often have a deep knowing that we are of VALUE, we are LOVEABLE and we are NECESSARY in this life. In my opinion the self-worth "bucket" is filled when other's engage in offering one another kind words, words of encouragement and appreciation. ... This year we need to be bucket fillers MORE THAN EVER. Self-worth worldwide has taken a beating. There's unrest and confusion, stress and anxiety, loneliness and fear. So I want to ask you all to please join me in a mission and I'd love to record a tally. Let's post as many Christmas cards this year that we can. Each card will be a bucket filler, it will wrap the receiver in warmth and love. Begin the task now, make the cards then fill them in (with a few kind words more than just "Merry Christmas") ready for early December. Once you've filled in cards PM me your tally and I'll keep track of how many lives we are touching as a group Watch out for my continuing release of Christmas card packs to aid you, or pull out your supplies and get cracking with making your own. Don't make the giving about receiving back, make the giving about others and HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

23.01.2022 Today's scheduled task: To cut the rest of my mini retreat "365 Days" kits. I'm excited, like the McCain's Super Juicy corn advertisement "The Rains are 'ere!" excited for this project and what it is all about. You see, we will be preparing to completion two of the 6'8' albums worth of pages to hold 365 photos. What this means is thst the 26 of us that are partaking in this project will have a great reason to look for something good during every day of 2021!!!!!... This project represents gratitude journaling, but through pictures. We have no crystal ball for the coming year, but we can equip ourselves with strength, courage, resilience and desire for good days. 14.01.2022 One chance at an earthly life, that's all we have and so we need to seize each day. Yes, there is much to be concerned and saddened by during these current times BUT we must find reasons to smile. We must choose the joy that is within ourselves and BE THE JOY as we are alive, healthy and sheltered. At any given time we could be taken from this earth and so we really need to live each day with love, kindness, happiness and joy - and yes realistically we will still have bad d...ays, unavoidable bad days but please don't dwell there. Choose to do good things for yourself too, you deserve good things. Save a little for a rainy day but also ensure you are self-caring for yourself through a hobby, a spa treatment, a special meal out with friends, one new item of clothing you really fancy or any number of other things. I find my joy through my craft and made this card this morning in the quiet that comes at 6am. I hope you do 1 good thing to make YOU happy today See more

12.01.2022 There's truly infinite possibilities for card designs, and this is why I'll never get bored of crafting with paper. I'm currently enjoying creating with all my new dies including all the sweet bracket dies. For this particular design I used the larger of the stitched fancy bracket Z3686. I then used a tree die in the centre of it to create the fun negative space.

04.01.2022 Today I have filmed 2 more of my 31 cards - 31 days series and completely fell in love with day 4 for a second time. As soon as I had 10 minutes spare I used the cutting guide to put together this stunner using the ever so gorgeous "Serenity" paper. Does this card tickle your fancy?

04.01.2022 From little things BIG THINGS GROW.... This morning as I posted up my Dec 1st video tutorial it struck me as to how far I have come over the past 7 years in my crafting skills. In fact, I was asking customers questions at the beginning as I had never stamped before, or die cut shapes. I hadn't made shaker cards and I especially did not design my own artwork. The biggest reason for my growth is passion, and I carry with me two passions when it comes to "Laura's Creative Pages ...and Cards" They are: 1. You - the people, no matter if you are my customer, an avid crafter with another company or a Close to my Heart sister I admire you and love that you want to learn from me. I want to develop myself better so I can serve you, because giving is one of my best qualities. 2. Good mental health. Having a hobby has so many benefits for good mental health, every day mental health, struggling with anxiety mental health, the loss of a loved one mental health. Creating is one of the greatest gifts that any human can engage in and so I'm extremely grateful to have begun my paper craft journey 20+ years ago as I stand by the importance of being involved in craft through some of the toughest times in my life and no doubt I'll experience more too. So from me to you - I LOVE YOU tons
