19.01.2022 Week 3 since I'm back and I'm slowly making my way through updating all my books. Did I mention I suck with technology? I tried a dog walking booking app once... stressed the shit out of me.. I can't do it. I'm old school. Thank you all for your patience while I readjust to my daily routines! Can't wait till Anna can read and write (and use technology) so she can take care of all the admin for me

19.01.2022 So.... gardeners can work..and swimming pools can open.. and people from different households can go out for picnics..but dog walkers still can't operate until the 19th of October.. That makes perfect sense, it's not like we would work alone away from every possible human contact... ..anyway.. that's the update from today. Sorry guys..still a few more weeks to go. I will update you if there are any changes..

10.01.2022 We got our copy almost a week ago and we have read this book every night at bedtime since. I actually tell her the story in French but it works fine , I know how it translates by now Anna's favourite part is when the dalmatian eats from the rubbish bin..she says it's @spotticusthedalmatian being naughty Great work @what_alice_did We love your work!... Thank you! #canipatthatdog See more

10.01.2022 We started our journey towards a novice tricks dogs title this morning... and passed! My dog was so keen and so happy (and now also so tired and content) Did you know teaching your dog fun little tricks could be as effective (or even more) than taking them for a walk. Get that brain working and that bond strengthening! Thank you @divine_canine_training for being our evaluator and Coach

09.01.2022 Still waiting ...

08.01.2022 Happy anniversary to Jake and me! It's been a year since our first walk ...and well..we haven't really walked much this year but I hope we can make up for it when I can work again. Miss you doofus!! Keep smiling

04.01.2022 Today as I took my daughter to the playground a family rocked up with this 12 weeks old little fellow (Hank I believe was his name) and their little girl. The playground was somewhat busy with a few little kids running and playing here and there, and what really struck me was how this cute and happy puppy did not once pay attention to the kids that were playing around him. I couldn't help but watch how his family interacted with him and what I saw was a dog trainer's dream: ...a perfect socialization experience, the way it should be for all puppies: They kept their puppy engaged with them (they had croissants and all sorts of yummy things they dropped randomly), they played and interacted with him but mostly they let him do his own thing and work things out as long as he stayed at a reasonable distance..if he went too far they quickly recalled him and he was rewarded with a piece of food and a bit of attention. ..so naturally, Hank was happy to hang around them but also do his own thing and "let the adults talk": Independence and togetherness all in one. What I think was important to notice was that every single one of his checking-ins were rewarded and encouraged but they were also never "over the top": he was part of the group, not King of their group.. and as such, he listened to his people and followed their directives. If he showed a slight interest for a random person, he was recalled and rewarded, so you could see the meaning of an outing to the park to him was not "let's find new friends!" but more like "let's all do something together as a family" This is something I try so hard to explain to my new puppy owners I was really overwhelmed to actually see a family acting like this and seeing this confident, friendly and well mannered puppy behaving so well around all these distractions AND ignoring everything that was not his family. watching this family with their puppy made my day today and they sparked back so much of my love for dog training I braved up and asked them for permission to write this little post about it. Such a great start in life for this cute little puppy Hank. See more

04.01.2022 My fellow dog walkers have come together to ask that we are allowed to get back to work sooner. I am all for staying safe and I have done all the right things since day one. But we also all know that our job is contactless, away from other humans and therefore covid safe. Not allowing us to work now seems completely out context and illogical and I know many of our dogs and clients could really do with a break out of lockdown routine (as do we all) . I don't want to live on ...government money. I want to earn my living like I've always done. I want to see my dogs. I want to be useful again. Please sign and share this one and help me and my colleagues get back to work. See more

03.01.2022 Some of you may remember my awesome cousin Alice who flew all the way from France to help me out when I was on my last weeks of pregnancy. Well, I am so proud to let you all know that she is now officially a qualified dog trainer Can't wait to walk and train dogs with her once we can travel again. ..well just a hug and a coffee would be nice too.
