23.01.2022 Terrible Muriel just terrible on the FB posts!!I Cannot believe how long ago my last one was!! Im sure I did one when Swanytoff ran 3 wins n a row? Anyway we had a quiet time of it - lots of babies not many racing so we took Swanky and a travel buddy to Darwin - always love it up there - so much this time we have leased some boxes and a property just out of town and will be making the move soon. We will still run Laurel Park - and commute between the 2 for a few years yet. ...On the horse front we had an exciting buy last night - another stayer for the team out of Melb and cannot wait for him to arrive. Swanky having a long earned spell, a few ready to come along in next few weeks - Uncle Bob who waas Swankys travel buddy had no luck in Darwin but will go around Wed at MB, Davids home bred Vexatious Boy (Dexter) will go for his ticket next week, Mugs Game - my home bred filly - is back with spark and looking at Gawler the following week, not far away is El Desperado for a race along with Shes Dreaming and another filly called KI Huntress for a ticket late Sep. We have had a slight set back with a new sprinter from Qld we bought that hasnt quite arrived what we thought he was but we will battle on with him and see where we end up!! Yards are full - 10 is my limit nowdays but there are three lovely babies just waiting for a return so I might have to suck it up and get them in - Just a Design - lovely Master of design/just sybil filly, Harry Hot Pants - Sizzling 3yo geld thats grown into a monster over winter and a 3yo half brother to Party Hack by Americain. Fun times for the racing side of the park - showing a little slow on the uptake with COVID restrictions but looks like some about to start soon See more

23.01.2022 WOW the LP updates have been slack!! Nothing since first KI meeting in Jan - lets forget Feb then. No winners at KI which is a first for me - not terrible runs, just better horses required this year. Went to Clare yesterday and had mixed day with horses in general going better. Ultimate View the star of the day Today is a big day with Maxsamia having his first start back - everyone knows how much of a headache he is for us!! Party Hack will also be going around for his se...cond start - first one not quite what we expected and a lot of work has gone into him in a week. Jaimee will be in the fashions today so a big day all round. Ponies have been out to a few shows to get wins for Adelaide and are all going well. Only a couple shows left this month then big spells for them. Lots of babies on their way on the up - 2yo Sizzling geld from MM Breeze up sales, Just a Design 2yo Master of Design filly out of Just Sybil ( thanks Jaimee for great name), 3yo Bullet Train filly, 2yo Americain half brother to Party Hack. We also have our 2 home bred 3yos needing to start work by Legion out of Chickasan ( Mugs game - best name ever!!!) and Circadian ( Vexatious Boy ) I keep waiting for yards for them thinking these older horses must be ready for the paddock and yet they keep on giving their all and running good races. Maybe just more yards Fingers crossed we get Max to races in one piece and he gives his all. See more

Getting those jobs done. Physiokey is busy enough around home - I miss the travel and helping people and horses but there’s been an opening for me to help Dave with his transport business so I haven’t been cooped up too much!! Jaimee is still entering fashions online, uni online and helping around home - she has suffered most. As restrictions lift let’s hope I can get interstate for treatments soon We lost our beautiful rescue kitten Bolts which was very sad. Such a beautiful little soul. Stay safe people!! See more

12.01.2022 Finally the new sign is up out the front!! Its been as usual a very busy time here at the Park. On the weekend we hosted the inaugural advanced physiokey training weekend with 25 lovely ladies from all over the country attending. A marvellous effort to get us all together and pull it off. Horse wise we have a few lovely new horses recently arrived including this amazing Sizzling colt from the Qld Breeze Up Sales - still kicking ourselves that he is here - shares will be avai...lable early next year. I think I will name him RIVERSCAPE after my favourite restaurant. Jaimee is doing amazing in Vic for the Myer Fashions on the Field and we head over for a quick look next week. Few runners next week - Swankytoff Tue in town, Blame Rodney, Clipaholic and Miss Donch at Penola Sunday 10th. Got a new little stayer - Meteor Rising that isnt too far away. Maxsamia, Green Tea Ice, Allentours, 2x 3yos and Party Hack will be in when we get home as well as 2 new tried horses to get ready for KI and 4 breakers that need some attention. Wow there really is no rest for the wicked!!! LOL wouldnt have it any other way. See more

09.01.2022 Another length of time between posts - just getting worse I think!! Party Hack (pictured) goes around today in town after a first up win and a good second up run in a big fast paced race - out to 1250 today so should suit him better Not a heap racing -Ultimate View wed at strath should see a big run - backed him up too quick last start - ignore it - trainer error Few babies having jump outs on thur - Harry Hot Pants and Just a Design both well bred and we have taken our ...time with them both EL Desperado has had a month of bad luck - got galloped on last start, just got him good and he got a virus, came good from that to re strain an old shoulder injury seems on track now for Vignerons Cup on 29th nov Swankytoff is back in work along with a heap of youngsters - Common Scruff ( only foal out of Little Audrey), Taipan Tommy, KI Huntress - bloody lovely, very large Bullet train filly. We have also collected a few new ones and have a huge instant love for Stealthy Lucas who is on a rehab routine and looking forward to racing him he is pictured loving the morning sun and his brand new rug 13 in work now with another 4 to come in early December will keep me busy into New Year!! 09.01.2022 A very somber Xmas this year - grateful for what we have, our family we have with us, support from them, our owners, clients and friends We are thinking of the people who have lost homes, loved ones, stock and memories in the fires both here and interstate Those affected by the drought still and trying to make do with very little and keeping their heads above water We have had an up and down year as most people have and take today to relax and reflect on this year and going forward for 2020 Much love to all from the team here at Laurel Park

08.01.2022 2019 is gone and we welcome 2020 with some new and exciting plans!! We went to KI as usual had way more fun than people should be allowed! Jaimee won fashions it seemed everywhere!! Arab champs, Darwin royal, Adelaide royal, Roxby races, fashion booth, people’s choice and the big one SA final to go to Spring Carnival!!! We showed extensively for her gap year and had a great time at Canberra, Aussies, GNats, Sydney, Adelaide, Boneo for dressage, Melbourne royal, Darwin roya...l and Nationals !! Jaimee turned 18!! Finally!! We won races, lost races, lost our first horse on the track - still cry when I think about it and it changed us forever. Won first city race and cried on TV We bought the best dog in the world and loved her nearly as much as she loved us and she died and I nearly can’t even look at pictures here. Our hearts still break Went to BALI got another tattoo, Dave n jaimee got their first ones - addicted!! And all through this I have travelled Australia and now overseas with the Physiokey treating horses, training people and meeting some of the best horses in the country and helping them succeed. I still take terrible photos but I don’t care- I’m happier than I have ever been even with the ups and downs, jaimee is off to uni and Dave has his new business and we are set to rock 2020 like you have never seen - still need to lose weight but hey it will happen Love all my family, friends, workers, Physiokey ladies, clients, jockeys and anyone else I’ve forgotten who made last year what it was and who moves forward with me today!! 02.01.2022 First runners for the year!! Swankytoff in race 2 at 2.05pm and Meteor Rising in last race 7 at 4.55pm Both have a chance and with the cooler weather are feeling great. Bit of a learning curve for a few runs with new one in the last but he is well and we can only see how he goes - good gate, big weight though. Jaimee is off for the day for the ESA Youth development weekend at Danson Dressage and very privileged to be having a lesson with Brett Parbary today. All horses are... ticking along well for the first KI meeting - if the island is still standing by then, thoughts to all that are fighting fires and hope they ease soon. We have 7 planned to go, 2 running today plus Clipaholic, Artistic Design, Just Peggy, Blame Rodney and Miss Donch. A couple others in work as well Alentours, Maxsamia and Party Hack and a new one just arrived with no name as yet!! Jaimee has a few in boxes getting ready for early shows and a lovely new hunter pony arrived yesterday. Off to QLD - Toowoomba and Gold Coast on Thur night for some treating and catching up with friends and Jaimee is tagging along for a photo shoot Friday and entering the fashions at the MM races on Sat - whirlwind trip but hope to see lots lovely horses and people while we are there. 01.01.2022 It’s with great sadness that today we say goodbye to Tess as she pursues another career path Tess has been the backbone of Laurel Park for 6 years and we will miss her greatly Not one to take the limelight but has always had a few favourites Maxsamia would not have been half the horse he was without you loving his antics You will be greatly missed at the Park
