17.01.2022 ATTENTION PLEASE READ Due to covid The Studio is operating under restrictions. We have a Covid Safe plan that we adhere to and we cannot stray from these restrictions. The Studio has endured a serious hurdle due to covid & we cannot go through that again. Losing the salon is not an option. One restriction is social distancing. THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE. We have a A2 sized poster in the window, PLEASE ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT ALONE, PLEASE NO CHILDREN & NO FRIENDS/GUESTS.... Having extra people including children in salon can jeopardize another service providers ability to bring in their client due to number restrictions, yes, children and babies count. We have 3 businesses operating out of The Studio, which means we do have a high turnover of clients coming in and out during the day, so numbers have to be monitored. The salon is not a place to bring your children. Clients come to the salon to relax, to have time away from their own precious babies, they do not want their appointments interrupted with children in the salon. I am very empathetic to mother's as I have 3 children of my own, but in our salon, all clients are our priority, and having to discount services due to the whole relaxing appointment being interrupted by your child/children being bored is not fair. When your child touches equipment we then have to re-sanitise. Played with brushes cannot be used, when they touch eyelash trays and beauty equipment these then need to be disinfected again as these items touch eyes. Your child can seriously hurt themselves, the salon is not child friendly, we have stairs, breakables, chemicals and many more items that can hurt them if you allow your child to freely walk around the salon. Clients have been bringing guests and children along to their appointments more and more regularly as of late. I'm sorry to have be the 'rule enforcer' but we cannot jeopardise the salon for social distancing, and we cannot keep having to re-sanitise (it is extra work that many don't realise that it creates for us), apologise & discount (loss of income is no joking matter) other clients because you need to bring your child in. From hereon please respect that your guest will not be accepted into the salon, we have a non negotiable no guest policy. If you are unable to find suitable childcare you will need to reschedule your appointment. Only children whom are booked in for an appt are to be brought in and must remain under constant parent supervision at all times. This feels heavy to write, I hope that all whom read this understand that this comes from a place of good intention. We want everyone to come to the salon and have an amazing, happy experience. She even sews in a padded wire nose so you can 'close' the mask over your nose similar to the disposable masks. These are washable and reusable.... Sugar skull is the translation of La Calavera Catrina, an artist called José Guadalupe Prosada created a print which he named La Calavera Catrina, this was the first pop culture occurance of the sugar skull. Sugar skull makeup is a tradition used when celebrating the Day of the Dead. José Guadalupe Prosada's print was of a woman of a skull for a face, the theme of the art was to tease the Mexican upper-class females. In today's celebrations people paint their faces to look like skulls to represent a loved one who has lost their life and also because it has become popculture and it is pretty! The sugar skull is the most famous symbol associated with the Day of the Dead.

01.01.2022 Brows baby! I was blown away on the thickness we achieved with these brows! Honestly I didn't expect it! Eyebrow lamination, it's just an amazing treatment! Yes, this gorgeous gals brows are dark directly post service, but they'll settle fairly quickly - this is something I tell every client! Don't stress, day 1 can be dark, but it'll be allll good I just love how her eyes are framed & doesn't she have the most beautiful smile!?... What is Brow Lamination? Brow lamination is designed to straighten the brow hair resulting in an instantly full, lifted and fluffy brow. The process essentially involves straightening eyebrow hairs so that all hairs stand in the desired direction. Who is brow lamination the best for? EVERYONE and anyone!!! Brow Lamination will make a thin brow appear full within 30 minutes as-well as a more full brow appear fuller and more fluffy! Are there are pre/post-procedure things people need to follow? i.e. not wearing makeup, not getting brows wet? Yes of course, like most brow treatments - Do not wet the brow for 24 hours and avoid going in saunas. How long does it last? What's the maintenance involved? It lasts up to 6-8 weeks. Each morning your Laminated brows will require styling by brushing and setting in place. You will also need to apply the Brow Code Brow Growth Oil daily to restore the brow hair. Please note if you have sensitive/reactive skin, henna after a Lamination is not recommended. Tinting is recommended. In some cases, henna can react with the Lamination and cause discomfort.
