Someone who knows I really love teaching Mathematics (even though I don't know all the answers), of why I think it is so important for people to think mathematically and why it is important that we do our level best to empower young people to persevere with maths no matter how hard it may seem. 18.01.2022 Wings To Fly took on a whole new meaning today when Lauren Winbanks tried sky diving at an indoor skydiving Centre here is Sydney. She did much better than her mum would have! Go Lauren!

Lauren built these amazing exhibits herself from purchased instructions (ie. not commercial sets). With thanks to Jim Gagliano for his help, encouragement and support for my clever girl. 08.01.2022 I post about Lauren’s achievements to offer hope to my fellow ASD families. I am aware however that doing so may send off a false message of just how low functioning Lauren is in many other areas. So this video today is another side of Lauren.... in my mind just as celebratory as a championship ribbon or an exam result. It highlights just how far away from 23 she actually is. Love her latest development. (Comes off the back of further bad news about her physical disability yesterday but will keep it positive as l like to do). #focusonmystrengths #seewhatlcando

07.01.2022 After many many weeks of Art Therapy with the amazing Marisa Spiller Lauren has completed her Masterpiece. It is simply beautiful. Now to frame and hang it. Love it! PS Lauren uses a paint by numbers kit. With all the detail it was very ambitious but with Lauren’s meticulous care it is breathtakingly beautiful.

01.01.2022 If I were you I would download this while it is free to take with you to every meeting you will need to attend for the rest of your life as you advocate for your ASC child! It is brilliant and research based which is what makes it worth its weight in gold!
