25.01.2022 Home Gathering 2016

23.01.2022 So the Variety Bash ended last night in Bathurst with none other than the guy that wrote the most requested song at pretty much every covers band gig I (or probably anyone else for that matter) have ever done; Darryl Braithwaite. And the song if you didn't get it is Horses. And can I say, those guys were an absolute pleasure to deal with. All such nice friendly people from the Brad the sound guy right through to Darryl. And hats off to the #qldvarietybash events team. Also a fantastic bunch of humans to be associated with. This has been lots of fun and I can't wait to do more. This is why I love doing this job. To work with professionals like that and put on a great show. Thanks guys

20.01.2022 What's everyone doing this Sunday? Come down to cotton tree and celebrate World Environment Day! Heaps of awesome bands and things to see in the park at Cotton Tree and lavaBird Productions will be providing sound on the day. See you there!!

20.01.2022 Massive shout out to Leah Hay and the rest of the World Environment Day team for getting lavaBird Productions on board this year for the Sunshine Coast Environment Councils WED Festival at Cotton Tree. Such a fantastic day. And the whole stage setup was powered by a solar array feeding a battery bank all housed in a trailer that you can monitor all day via a website. Fantastic!! So happy to be involved. Can't wait for next year

15.01.2022 These are from a conference at twin waters that lavaBird Productions got called in to operate audio for the evening dinners, awards ceremonies and main entertainment. Acts included Dragon, Richard Clapton and a cover band called 80's Enuff (who were actually awesome!)

11.01.2022 So this is the trusty beast we used for logistics on the variety bash. Carrying all the PA, LX and AV gear, sponsored alcohol, pies for the Mannings Flying Pie car, merch for the shop and tonnes more. Complete with mobile workbench for working on cars (the trailer is actually a race car trailer good for towing three race cars), a green room, fridge, two beds and a 3 phase generator. Such a comfortable thing to tour in! Why can't we have a sweet ass truck all the time?!?! Haha. Was a bit difficult to park at certain venues on this run though seeing as it's about 25m long and 4.5 high.... lol
