19.01.2022 Gospel text (Mt 5,13-16): Jesus said to his disciples, You are the salt of the earth. But if salt has lost its strength, how can it be made salty again? It has become useless. It can only be thrown away and people will trample on it. You are the light of the world...

18.01.2022 MARCELLIN CHAMPAGNAT WAS BORN TODAY - MAY 20, 1789 - Marcellin had a profound experience of being loved by Jesus and a strong desire for following him in Mary...s way. His relationship to Mary was deeply marked by a warm and total trust in her as the Good Mother. Marcellin once wrote: Without Mary we are nothing and with Mary we have everything, because Mary always has her adorable Son within her arms or in her heart. Today, we are invited to live the motto Marcellin gave us: All to Jesus through Mary, all to Mary for Jesus. This phrase captures the close relationship between the Son and a Mother and of Marcellins attitude of total confidence in Mary, which we are invited to live. During these times of uncertainty and disruption, let us place the same trust that Marcellin had in Mary to be for us a source of strength, guidance and protection, as we pray: SUB TUUM We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our hour of need, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin Mary. Amen [This short prayer to Our Lady is one of the Churchs most ancient and has been prayed by Christians in troubled times since the third century] Mary Our Good Mother, pray for us St Marcellin Champagnat, pray for us St Mary of the Cross, pray for us And let us always remember, to pray for one another.

17.01.2022 Every student has a unique gift to offer.

17.01.2022 14 - 20 June 2020 is Refugee Week. It is a unique opportunity to make time to learn about the experiences of people from refugee backgrounds and to celebrate th...e valuable contributions made by refugees to the world. The Holy family were themselves refugees in a foreign land, when they escaped the violence and persecution of King Herod for the temporary safety of Egypt. This image is known as the Icon of Christ the Refugee. This icon is by Br. Robert Lentz, OFM and the actual title is Christ of Maryknoll. May its invitation to see the face of Jesus in all refugees and asylum seekers move us all to be agents of compassion and justice. This Sunday night, I invite you to take a moment or a few minutes to pause and pray with all those who flee their homes from violence, war and death. #sundaysignificance #maristlife #maristbrothers #refugee #prayer #asylumseekers #solidarity
