23.01.2022 We have received some serenely peaceful pictures representing the Dear, Oh Deer theme that was presented online last week. The deer theme has come at a time when we all need to feel peaceful, gentle and extend a deeper understanding of care towards each other. Through the creation of peaceful art, we can achieve these positive emotional and sensitive attributes. 22.01.2022 This is the last week of online art demonstrations/classes; The Stand - Alone Tree does represent so much about Lavender Art Studios; strong, independent and forever powerfully weathering the wind storms of life - no matter how hard and long they may blow! These trees are personally important to us, as we drive/walk past them each day at the art retreat. The trees bring much joy to our hearts. And, as such, we thought they would be a good final natural online art theme to share. The results have been very pleasing. 18.01.2022 Earlier in the year; Leo, who has been a long attending art student in the Lavender Art Students Friday afternoon regular term art class won a number of prizes at the Royal Canberra Show Art Exhibition 2020; including Show Champion. Leo, who will be returning to the art studio again this coming Term 3: is pictured with his 2 of winning pieces. 1 framed and the other dolphin, which has previously been featured on this page. Always working really creatively with his pictures, Leo is very deserving of these prizes, which are wonderful acknowledgments of his artistic achievements. Well done and congratulations Leo. 14.01.2022 Week 7: Term 2: 2020 brought forward the Lavender Art Studios online art presentation of Kitchen Ceramics. Tianshuo's beautiful pastel work positively typifies the study presented by Greg. Tianshuo is a current art student in the Saturday Afternoon Art Class Program for Young People. Dedicated to his art; from this lovely work, you can see that Tianshuo is moving forward very, very well with the themed subjects and confidently developing his artistic techniques and applicatio...ns. Thank you to all who have participated in the on-line art studio; we have received a vast array of really magnificent submissions and have enjoyed viewing and critiquing each and every piece very much.
