24.01.2022 In the article I didn't mention that I used lots of lavender products as part of my ongoing recovery - lavender sleep balms to help me relax and sleep, lavender teas for soothing and sanity, and classic lavender massage cream on my radiation burns. Happy to help anyone else in the same horrible boat.

It's our second year of Farmgate - apart from our wonderful lavender products, we also have tea, coffee and muffins, thanks to our lovely friends from Grindelwald. Tony is distilling lavender oil using our Turkish alembic copper still, so the shop smells divine. Outside our early lavenders are flowering, and some of our beautiful heritage roses too, specially selected for their scent. Enjoy, and remember to treat your family and friends with our products- they're perfect Christmas gifts. We're open from 10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

We were inspired by our love of lavender and the therapeutic values of herbs, to provide simple natural remedies. We were one of the leaders in tourism for the Tamar Valley and in the current trend to natural therapies.... Lavender House has been a Tasmanian Tourism Awards Winner and a Peoples Choice Awards Winner. We offered one of the most interesting and comprehensive lavender based experiences in Australia. In 1997 we planted small collection of different species and varieties of lavender plus a small field of the true perfumery lavender. These lavenders are showing their age but still flower intermittently between September & May providing superb photo opportunities for visitors. The PERFUMERY building was the heart of our enterprise. Visitors could view the manufacturing and processing areas, learn about the uses and benefits of lavender, sample our extensive range of premium lavender and aromatherapy products, and smell our fresh country air. We made all the products on site. Our premium Lavender House products have retailed Australia wide since 1997, were sold in our gift shop and in our online shop. Now, 27 years later the business is under new ownership. New hands that are younger and more vigorous. New heads that will develop new ideas and serve you, our delightful followers, well.
