24.01.2022 LAVENDILLI-BLUES’ YEAR OF LIVING ARTISTICALLY & RESOURCEFULLY It has been a busy year of study, but so fulfilling with a great sense of release and creative freedom. Thank you to my teachers at TAFE Western and a big thanks to my fellow art students who are a very talented and supportive group. When you are around like minded people you cant help but grow creatively and personally. Looking forward to what next year brings forth artistically!

24.01.2022 LAVENDILLI-BLUES’ YEAR OF MAKING & DOING AND MAKING DO!" Each year my posts for Lavendilli-Blue have a theme. So after a busy holiday break full of crafting, creating and screenprinting I have come to the conclusion we are a 'Make and Do' family and at times we simply have to 'Make Do'. Being out of town, substitutions and modifications are a given but the upside is, it encourages problem solving, creativity and inventiveness and gives rise to some pretty interesting meals. In this case of screenprinting a stiff piece of card 'made do', for the too big and too small squeegees I had on hand. Job Done!

23.01.2022 WASTE TO ART - The Orange Exhibition opened yesterday at the Orange City Library. There is a fantastic array of clever and innovative artworks on display. This Netwaste Initiative showcases creative works made from recycled materials. The aim is to challenge the communities perceptions about rubbish and celebrate its reuse through arts and crafts. Open from 3rd-11th of June. Well worth a visit!!!

20.01.2022 Lavender is always timeless and always beautiful where ever it may be found. It took a 16000 km trip to the Czech Republic to capture this lavender in my great Aunt's garden. It is such a gift to be able to spend time with my extended family and for my kids to see the country where their grandfather was born.

14.01.2022 WASTE TO ART COMMUNITY ART COMPETITION & EXHIBITION 2017. GREAT SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITY!!!!!!!!!!! This is a fabulous community art project that encourages sustainability through creativity for all ages groups.There is no limit to the imaginative and artistic possibilities. The waste theme for this year is plastic bags and soft plastic packaging, however you can create an artwork using any materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. 08.01.2022 LAVENDILLI-BLUES’ YEAR OF LIVING ARTISTICALLY & RESOURCEFULLY It has been a little quite of the Lavendilli front, a hiatus, over the colder months and the wet spring we have had thus far. There has been lots of mud, and many mud pies (any takers?), but the the sun is out and spring is bringing a flush of green growth in the lavenders and the crops are looking great. The Lavendilli office has been gradually over run by my ever expanding studio space, as I have been working toward completing my body of artwork for end of year assessment and the upcoming student exhibition, 'Emerging'. I study with some amazingly talented artists so it will be an exhibition well worth viewing.

08.01.2022 LAVENDILLI-BLUES’ YEAR OF LIVING ARTISTICALLY & RESOURCEFULLY When I am not wearing my Lavendilli "hat" and getting my hands covered in dirt, I get to wear my art student 'hat' and get my hands covered in printing ink, charcoal, graphite and paint. Either way I get to use my hands, to nurture and create, which I love and it makes me, me.

04.01.2022 LAVENDILLI-BLUES’ YEAR OF LIVING ARTISTICALLY & RESOURCEFULLY A spectacular weekend for making memories on the farm. Noah and Nate found the old sheep poop trolley, and with a little corflute, a bit of wiring and some go faster red paint we have a pretty handy billy cart. Talk about being resourceful.. this is some serious upcycling.
