If you live in Altona or have visited there recently, or any of the surrounding suburbs from Monday 16 to Wednesday 18 November, please get tested if you have any symptoms, no matter how mild. Suburbs in the wastewater catchment include Altona, Altona Meadows, Laverton, Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes. Please get tested.

10.01.2022 We farewell Mary Francis. We wish you all the very best on your new adventure. After three and a half years of managing the operations of LCIS, Mary Francis has decided that it is time to move on and explore new avenues. We would like to take this opportunity to first of all thank Mary for her diligence, professionalism and commitment to the organisation over that period.... When Mary commenced with LCIS, it was at a time confronted with many challenges, baptised with Australian Service Excellence Standards [ASES] accreditation as her first successful gig. Mary sought funding for, and was responsible for, introducing successful projects that benefited our community and some still today and will into the future. When Covid-19 became prevalent in our community and closed down many institutions, due to Mary’s stewardship, the Community Centre was able to continue business as usual albeit, in a reduced capacity. In closing, on behalf of the Board, staff and volunteers, we thank Mary for all that she has done, and for leaving LCIS a better organisation upon her departure. All the best

As fun and exciting as this time of the year can be, there are still members in our community who need some help. If you need a chat, some food or support, you can contact us on the link below. Emergency Relief will be from 10am - 2pm, Monday - Friday. "Community, Information and Support agencies provide Emergency Relief (ER) to people in need. There are many types of ER and this kind of support is available to any person, regardless of background or visa status. Help may be given with food or paying for things like groceries and bills. 04.01.2022 And that's a wrap! We want to share gratitude and thanks to our volunteers for packing a whopping 60 Christmas Hampers this year, to give out to our community! And an extra special thank you to both; Fire Rescue Victoria for delivering the hampers to our all of our hamper recipients and to Jill Hennessy MP or her generous donation to our Christmas Hampers ! LCIS are very grateful to have such wonderful supports in the community and appreciate all hard work that goes into p...roducing and delivering these hampers.
