24.01.2022 We’re excited to be opening Cellar Door this weekend for Tastings & Sales. It’s been a long winter and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to La Villa. We have some exciting new releases for you to sample! For the month of October we will opening Saturday & Sunday, from then on Wednesday-Sunday 11.00am-4.00pm. 24.01.2022 Cellar Door is Closed as usual for winter and Reopen in October. This will be revised over that period pending Covid-19 restrictions. (Maybe Sept). There will be times Cellar Door will open for online collection and takeaway bottle sales. At this stage unfortunately Tastings will not be available. 04.01.2022 Please share if you agree that it's not cool to light up a fire next to your local vineyard. Many people just dont appreciate what it takes to get a glass of wine to your lips. Cuttings are selected and propagated, soil is tilled, posts are rammed, wires are run, vines are planted and guarded pruned and trained every year for 4 years to get a light harvest. Before the berries mature after toiling through the cold winter wind and rain, waking at 2am to turn on frost mitigation..., hoping it doesn't rain or blow to hard during flowering, fending off the growing diseases, netting to keep the birds away, replacing nets that get stolen off the vines in the night (wtf), destroying wasp nests, repairing nets that wallabies shred to pieces, waiting for the last two perfect weeks of weather to finish the vintage .... and the risk is someone nearby lights a fire that blankets the vineyard with smoke and destroys a whole years work + , and thats not going to the next step at the winery for a year then another year maturing in bottle before we can proudly present our wine for sale ! Not cool to light fires at vintage. Please share and make aware. Ask your local vineyard when harvest is planned, often it may be only a few days after lighting up.
