18.01.2022 Of all the pregnancy books I've perused, the most influential and even life-changing, is Fallon Morell and Cowan's The Nourishing Traditions Book of Baby and Childcare. This book provides a wealth of information regarding children's health and wellbeing, from preconception to childhood, based on the investigations of Weston A. Price. #Westonaprice was a dentist (of all things), with an interest in nutrition and health who travelled extensively and observed the dietary h...abits of diverse cultures. This book is an invaluable resource, a window into ancestral and Indigenous worlds, that details the common practices that produced beautiful, healthy humans over the ages. I have also been listening to the Weston A. Price podcasts, to gain more insights about #pregnancy and #motherhood. In doing so, I discovered another great book, The First 40 Days by Heng Ou. In this book, #hengou shares the wisdom and traditions of her Chinese heritage regarding what she terms "the essential art of nourishing the new mother". Today I sat down to one of her ultra nourishing recipes, slow-braised #pigtrotters. 17.01.2022 Our family is growing and I am closing temporarily to go on maternity leave CURRENT CLIENTS: I will keep you posted about when I will return to work, probably in December....
