When I got the rower for Iso 2.0 from @breakwaterathletics I said to myself ‘by the end of this, I want to row a marathon.’ When I did the Quick Mafs in the shower, I realised that a marathon would take ROUGHLY one Lord of the Rings (Extended Edition) to finish, and I tell you what, Theoden’s ‘DEATH!’ Speech is just as fucking amped as the best banger. 3:25:49 was my time. I’m stoked with that. It went EXACTLY as planned, rowing roughly 2:15 per 500m and adding in small breaks for food etc. This has been something I’ve wanted to test since the athletes did it at the @crossfitgames . 12.01.2022 The Faces Behind Lawless (Part One) - Kris We thought we’d share with you guys a little bit about the two of us (Kris and Pierce) who own and operate Lawless Accessories over the next couple of days. We’ll start off with myself, Kris. ... I’m a primary school teacher living in Geelong who loves doing CrossFit. When I’m not teaching I’m working on a number of online businesses, including Lawless and @eco.boutique.australia (shameless plug) - which I operate with my wife, Jaclyn. If I’m not training at @breakwaterathletics beating @piercejrickard in a WOD - I’m doing a sesh in my garage. I’m originally from a farm up in country Victoria, outside of Swan Hill and being back home and going for a run. I’ve done a number of endurance events including the Melbourne Marathon and the Geelong Half Iron Man. I’m a huge advocate for mental health awareness, in particular anxiety and depression - aiming to remove the stigma associated with it, especially amongst men. Having personally had to deal with both of these mental health issues - this is a cause close to my heart. As tough as it’s been from time to time, the decision to give up booze 18 months ago has been by far the best thing I’ve ever done. Jaclyn and I have a 6 year old girl called Molly, she’s a Blue Merle Border Collie , who we absolutely adore - even when she’s being a rascal! Finally, I’m a bit a of coffee addict (not a coffee snob ) and am known to indulge in a double espresso before a 6am workout - even if it gets me seeing sounds @ Geelong, Victoria

01.01.2022 #Repost @elingranstrand with @get_repost Tips to stay on track on the weekends: Track to meet calories and protein only. This will allow you to have a bit more flexibility with your foods.... Don’t set yourself up to fail by setting unrealistic expectations. If you’ve never tracked a weekend before, don’t expect to nail it straight away. Start small by for example just tracking one day/half a day and build from there. Get an accountability buddy. This way you can support each other when you feel like you’re slipping. Ask yourself WHY you’re slipping up. Is it because you’re bored? You’ve restricted yourself too much during the week? Because you lack knowledge about guesstimating? Plan ahead! Make a REALISTIC plan and stick to it. Show up for yourself and remember WHY you’re doing this. How do you want to feel Monday morning when you wake up? Visualise that feeling. Memories over macros. Is this weekend event important enough to maybe not see as much progress this week? Only you can make this choice and there is no right or wrong answer. It’s not a race, it’s about improving your quality of life. Staying on track over the weekends and during holidays is ALWAYS going to be harder, there is no hiding from that, but not tracking and being in the calories don’t count on the weekends-mindset can be the reason why you’re not seeing any progress. Those 2.5 days are a big chunk of your week and could easily make up for the deficit you created during the week. Some weekends fall under memories, and so they should, but some weekends we have to cut back in order to get to where we want to be. Before you say it’s too hard, what if someone gave you 50K to stay on track for 2.5 days, I bet you wouldn’t have a problem doing it then?
