18.01.2022 WE'RE thrilled to announce that yesterday Tennis West chose Albany to be the first WA regional centre to host Tennis Australia's newest program the Females in T...ennis Development Camp. This event is open to any female that is already playing tennis or in a coaching program, aged between the age of 9-14 years old and located anywhere in the entire Lower Great Southern area. Ex WTA player Emma Hayman has just been appointed as a Talent Performance Coach for Tennis Australia and she will be in Albany on Friday October 8th to run the day camp from 10am to 5pm. Lawley Park Tennis Club will be host club and there is NO CHARGE for this one-day event. It is free!! What a great chance for our 9 to 14-year-old girls to meet an ex 600+ world ranked player and also have an informative and fun day out. We're so proud Albany has been given this event before any other place in WA and with tennis booming in Albany and the Lower Great Southern, the future of our sport is looking brighter than ever!!

14.01.2022 TENNIS IS BACK This Sunday will mark the return of competition tennis in Albany, with the sixth and final leg of the Albany and Districts Tennis League to be ...played at Lawley Park Tennis Club. The final leg of the competition was set to be played on March 22 and had to be postponed because of COVID-19.

08.01.2022 So lucky today to have had James and Paula from the Onslow Park Tennis Club - situated in Subiaco - grace our courts. It may have been a slightly wet day but that did not faze them at all. Dave opened up and Bryce, James, Paula and I had an hours tennis on what were dry courts that become swimming pools. Lovely tennis and wonderful company. Onslow Park Tennis Club won Club of the year in 2014 - the year after we did...... If anyone is going to Perth I highly recommend you visit their club for a hit. 6 grass and 4 hard courts......

06.01.2022 The first Albany Summer Tennis League concluded last sunday. We welcomed nearly 250 entries and 70 different players over the six events. A fantastic turnout fo...r our first League. Thank you to Lawley Park Tennis Club committee for your support and all the people helping organising the tournaments. Thank you to all our sponsors for their generosity. Thank you to all the participants of the competition of making the event possible. Congratulations to the winners Lilly, Clare and Ross. You have been the most consistant players on the court. We hope you all had fun and we look forward to seeing you all next round! We have new improved ideas for the next competition including team events and mix doubles. See you all in term 4!! 02.01.2022 We had our windup and trophy presentation last night. We in WA are so lucky to be able to carry on virtually as normal. At one stage it looked like this night might not happen. Congratulations to everyone who participated in our championships before we had to close down in March.

All junior members at Lawley except where club shown. Back: Levi Dawson (Bremer Bay), Bobby Hood, Calvin Ullrich and Clare Hadlow. Front: Niccolo Lembo, Olivia Riggall, Olivia North (Kendenup) and Adalyn Sharpe ... Most were playing older opponents and gave a great exhibition of their skills. Looking good for the LGSTA tennis future.
