16.01.2022 Hello Lawley Alumni. There have been some interesting developments that will be affecting Mount Lawley SHS over the next several years. If you havent heard, Edith Cowan Uni will be moving from their Mount Lawley campus into the city and some of their facilities (such as WAAPA) are likely to be transferred over to the school. Some exciting times ahead.

15.01.2022 Looking towards next year as the 65th Birthday for the School we were wondering what were the significant events that shaped the school over that time. So what were the events that made a difference to the school during your generation? Was it the new school bus in the 70s? Was it the growth of the House System in the 60s? Was it the international music tours of the 90s? Or was it OConnors win in the House Championship in 2019?

15.01.2022 I just dropped past to school café to get a large flat white from the barista (i'm not kidding) and as I walked out I reflected that much has changed since the old days of the canteen when I started at the school some 28 years ago. What would your recollections of the canteen be?

15.01.2022 The next of our new Lawley Legends is Natalie Locke of the Class of 1986. Congratulations Natalie.

15.01.2022 The Class of 1969 visited the school yesterday as the start of their 50th Anniversary Reunion. Around 70 people enjoyed tours conducted by our current House Captains. The school has changed immensely in 50 years, but there were still some parts of the old school to be found. Over 100 former students gathered afterwards for their Reunion Dinner at the Mount Lawley Golf Club. It was wonderful to see such an enthusiastic group dividing again into their House groups for the tours. Thanks for re-visiting the school.

14.01.2022 The next of our new Lawley Legends, Lynette Chester (Class of 1964).

13.01.2022 The Class of 1975 is holding a reunion at The Charles Hotel this Friday evening, 30 October at 7:00 pm. All those who started in 1971 and finished anytime between then and 1975 are welcome.

10.01.2022 You may remember these mosaics. They were saved from the demolition of the old school and hung on the sides of the stage for much of the schools life. After restoration and framing they have now returned to the schools walls in the corridor between the library and the cafe. We would love to hear more of their story if you are familiar with their creation.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Vince Garreffa, Class of 1968 (and Lawley Legend) on Ham of the Year in the lead up to the festive season.

We are looking to arrange some activities or functions and would like to get some contacts, stories and perspectives from our alumni. We would love to hear how your studies have helped your careers or experiences since leaving school. 02.01.2022 Congratulations to our new Lawley Legend, Warwick Hemsley (Class off 1972). Warwick started as an accountant, but has worked in real estate for much of his prof...essional life. Initially as a brickies labourer and, notably, as Managing Director of Peet Limited where he helped grow the company from a $300,000 valuation to around $800m. Warwick has also been well known for his philanthropy and support of the community, particularly in the area of the arts. He has worked with a range of arts bodies, from the National Gallery and the WA Opera to the Kimberley Foundation (preserving rock art), the Winston Churchill memorial Trust and Anglicares Winter Appeal.
