25.01.2022 Things I’ve learnt while lawn mowing..... Being a mower girl has been one of the most instantly rewarding jobs I’ve ever had. Listening to tunes while working off calories, getting a tan and being paid for it? No wonder I’ve lasted 7 years!

Mowing over tennis balls is sorta satisfying, it’s a clunk followed by exploding rubber Other crazy things I’ve mowed right over include: marbles, a snake, a dog chain, a barbie doll, multiple bits of chalk (rainbow smoke!) a dead bird , a number 6 pool ball , lighters, half a packet of cigarettes, a can of oven cleaner and countless dog toys. Never a smurf though

18.01.2022 Things I’ve learnt while lawn mowing.... The words it’s pretty long can mean anywhere from ankle to knee to head high grass. And there will always be someone who questions why it costs more to mow hip-high grass. No, it didn’t sprout up overnight

07.01.2022 The time has come. After 7 glorious years, buckets of sweat, countless shoes, 4 different mowers, tears, swearwords, and crazy laughter it’s time to move on. Most of you already know but I’ve recently accepted a full time position at my ‘other job’. (Air conditioning! ) Andrew will still be doing the occasional mow but as of the 21st of December I (Allison) will no longer be available. When we started Lawn & Order I never thought it would last but here we are 7 years late...r and I’m sad to say goodbye, I feel like many of you became friends. From the bottom of my heart thank you to you all. You helped us provide all those extras for our family and gave me the flexibility to work around school hours. As always, Cheers, Allison See more

05.01.2022 ‘Oh I thought you weren’t coming till Thursday’ ....is officially the crappest thing to hear while working on a public holiday. Gotta love diary malfunctions

04.01.2022 And that’s a wrap! Exhausted, caked in dirt, and sweaty as hell but closing this chapter of our lives together- just like when it began. Thank you to our customers over the years, we finished with one last visit to some of my favourites and I’ll miss many of you!... Thank you Lawn & Order, I’ll never have such a great tan ever again. Blood, sweat and tears but I loved it all. There’s nothing that girls can’t do, get out there ladies and give it a go!

02.01.2022 Things I’ve learnt while mowing... If there’s a wasp nest in the vicinity, chances are I’ll accidentally disturb it. And then get stung. Also, wasps are assholes.

01.01.2022 Things I’ve learnt while mowing.... Every dog has a Fight or Flight mode. I’ve found that bigger the dog, the more frightened it gets! Having a miniature pony sized dog cower from a lawn mower is still funny to me.
