21.01.2022 A big thanks to Merry who asked me to extend a small rock wall I'd built previously. After I finished off a small concrete slab for the pool filter, we decided to extend the rock wall to met the slab. It was finished off with some stone steps to access the filter and some mulch to define the new garden bed.

18.01.2022 Just a few examples of what we can do with rock.

18.01.2022 About to do a pamphlet drop and attached will be a lawn mowing special. If your looking to get control of your lawn or know of others who are running out of time in the day pass on my details

17.01.2022 Last year I was asked to help Craig and Catherine rescue a lawn that had seen better days. It was a big operation involving the removal of the existing front and back lawns which were tired and old. We added a new layer of nutrient rich top soil and rolled out some fresh grass. To make life easier we introduced a pop up sprinkler system so now the lawn can be watered with the turn of a tap. I would like to extend a big thank you to Craig and Catherine for the opportunity as well as for being so very nice in what were some very hot and dusty days.

17.01.2022 Happy New Year Everyone. I hope you all had a great break and are well rested. Savvy Landscapes 2017 work year has started, so please feel free to call for quotes or for advice.

15.01.2022 I'd like to officially welcome the newest member of the savvy family.

14.01.2022 Well it's been a hectic 2 months with this last month seeing me have only one Sunday off. However winter is coming and with it the days are shortening and the growth rate of most of our gardens is slowing right down. I'd like to thank everyone who hired me over this growing season and I hope you stay warm over the winter. Although the trees and grass have stopped growing there are still plenty of jobs to be done through the winter, like clearing overgrown yards or gutters. ...It's also a great time to build those hardscaping structures that you've thinking about. Adding structures like decks, stone walls and fire pits help solve some issues as well as add value to your home. Call me anytime. Chris See more

14.01.2022 I'm proud to announce that Savvy Landscapes is now using Stihl's cutting edge battery technology. The whole range is extremely quiet and performs at a professional level.

13.01.2022 Here are some beautiful roses that I've been tending to over the last few months. From pruning as a dormant stick to this explosion of colour, just magnificent. The rose is called 'brass band'.

10.01.2022 Its that time of the year again where we meet up with family and friends and enjoy a well earned break. Thanks so much everyone for your support and kind words. I hope you all have a great Christmas and welcome the new year in with your usual flare. I will be away in Vanuatu for the next two weeks and will be back on the job from the 6th of January 2017!!! While away I will post some pictures of a few lawns and gardens I was lucky enough to have a hand in creating as well as some images of the beautiful tropical plants from my adventures. Merry Christmas to all and I hope to see you all in 2017.

09.01.2022 Have you got a side passage that is dark, overgrown and may be home to any number of creepy crawlies. It maybe time to take it back. This picture of a recent job shows the results after a couple of hours of cutting and scrubbing. Unfortunately I didn't take a before picture but believe me when I say that you couldn't walk down it. The trees, vines and weeds had taken over to the point where they had grown up the wall and a shovel had to be used to clean the soil and leaf build up on the footpath.

09.01.2022 Hardenbergia's are a stunning Australian native that are easy to grow as a ground cover or train along a fence. They provide a mass of white or purple flowers and I just had to share a few pictures of some from my garden.

08.01.2022 I'd like to thank Merry who asked me to design a garden that was both low maintenance and would repel mosquitoes. We also used some materials that were already around the house and decided to build some rock walls either side of the new pool being built. Once the pool has been finished off we will finish the garden.

06.01.2022 Been fortunate to assist on an emergency repair on a sea wall in the harbour. It was a bit different from the norm but a welcome change to be floating in the water. It seems that the wake from the boats has undermined the sandstone wall and created a large sink hole between the wall and the pool.

06.01.2022 Recently I have been assisting the wisdom homes landscaping team finish up the five new display homes about to open in Oran Park. Here are some pictures of a newly planted garden in one of the homes. With the weather warming and spring and summer on our door step this garden is about to explode with colour and quickly consume the small spaces for the plants to grow into. A big thankyou to the Wisdom Team for having me on board on such a big project.

05.01.2022 If you've noticed that your pathways or paved areas are slippery with the recent rain or are far from the original colour, now would be the time to fix it. Here's the result of a recent job at a home in leura. It didn't take long and the results really do speak for themselves.

04.01.2022 A big thank you to Wendy who has allowed me to show a couple of before and after photos of some recent work I completed. The back yard is now clear and clean, making it a more enjoyable space that is also bush fire ready. This year is going to get hot and the chances of a bushfire will be high. Start your Bushfire plan today by getting your property clean and clear to avoid the chance of embers setting your yard alight.

02.01.2022 Here's some images of heliconia's, gingers, Lily's and frangipanis that cover the landscape here in Vanuatu . This place is in constant bloom and there is certainly no shortage plant life
