25.01.2022 Triple S at the Den 2020. Due to Covid 19 Triple S is a little different. We are camping at the Den instead of Samford. Teaching the new scouts about expected behaviour, working together as a Patrol and how to set up a campsite. Last night we set up dining fly and Queenslander tent (unfortunately not allowed to camp in tent due to space restrictions) and den area not big enough to put out enough tents for everyone. This morning we learnt rolling hitches, how to wash up in HOT water. We made a gateway and finished setting up the dining and kitchen area.

21.01.2022 We need your help on Saturday 17.04.2021 at Lawnton Bunnings for our sausage sizzle. We need people from 10-12 & 12-2. Please contact Richard on 0409477686 if you can help. Remember that by helping here this can help reduce your fees.

19.01.2022 We have a sausage sizzle at Lawnton Bunning on 15.3.20 and we need helpers in each 2 hr timeslot from 10am. Did you know that by helping at the bbq it can help reduce your fees for next year. This is also a great way to get to know other families in the group.... If you are able to help please put your name on the roster at the den.

17.01.2022 Ever wanted to learn how to dive? This is an awesome opportunity when you consider the value. Scouts QLD have negotiated an amazing deal with Adreno. Cost is only $499 and that price includes $450 worth of gear for you to keep (mask, snorkel, open heal fins, dive boots, safety sausage, whistle and 5mm wetsuit) and on completion a globally recognised SSI Certification. Yes you heard right, the course plus all the gear listed above for you to keep for only $499. The remaining g...ear needed such as regulator, buoyancy vest and air tank are supplied for use on the course at no extra cost. Scout members and their family are eligible. Just need to be age 14.5 or above. If you or anyone in your family have ever wanted to get an open water diver certification enabling you to dive anywhere in the world, this is an offer worthy of serious consideration. The course program involves a full day in the pool on 23rd May learning the skills then two full days and 4 dives on 29th and 30th May to hone your skills in the ocean. 14.01.2022 Troop night - Yetti's Challenge. You have to collect a selection of clothes in the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Can you create a huge rainbow on the floor and send us a photo of you and your rainbow? Photos to be on Facebook page by Monday 20.4.20 - our first Monday back for Scout section.... Open to all sections and leaders to pick their favourite and the most imaginative one. Have fun coming up with ideas or think outside the box and do something totally different than on the floor. Talk to your fellow scouts to make sure they know about the challenge.

12.01.2022 It’s break-up party time! Thanks to everyone who joined us at the den tonight for some fun and games, Charles Dickens style! Scrooge might not have been too generous, but our leaders and parents were with the supper spread and prizes for games! See you all in 2020!

11.01.2022 Early morning Scouts Own and learnt about our local heritage. Then pancakes for Breakfast yummy. See parents they can wash up.

10.01.2022 Clean Up Australia Day Great turnout from the Scouts today at Leis Park and Whylie Park. Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Rovers all in attendance. Not much rubbish today which is a good thing because hopefully this means that people who are visiting the park are doing the right thing and taking their rubbish with them or putting it in the bins provided.
