20.01.2022 MOTHER'S DAY 2020 $5 and $8 Mystery Mother's Day gifts are up on Qkr! Under P&C Events. Pick up will be between 10 and 2 on Friday. These are for students/mums that are homeschooling. All students who are still attending school will be able to do their own mothers day shopping on Friday as normal.... **Remember gifts can be for Gran, greatgran, aunty as well as mums**

15.01.2022 Can you help!? Lawnton S.S. is in the running to win $1000 towards sporting equipment through Genesis Health and Fitness Lawnton's Movement Matters 2019 campaign. From the 4th of November - for 4 weeks - you can walk into Genesis at Lawnton and work out for free! Yes that's right, free! But you must sign in at the front desk and make sure you let them know you want your activity points to go towards Lawnton's tally. If you do a 60 min group fitness class you will earn us 10...0 points! A 30 min cardio session will earn us 50 points. They also have a kids class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon. Why not get the children to earn some points too?! And yes, they can work out for free aswell! We will be earning points through the school day too just by participating in P.E. classes. How amazing is that! Please let your family and friends know about the campaign. If we all do our part, Lawnton is definitely in with a great chance to win. Let's get moving! 15.01.2022 Recycled Christmas Tree School Challenge. We had 4 wonderful classes complete the Challenge. Our Cafe 4501 volunteers chose the winner at the weekend, with the winning tree being from Prep A. So Prep A will get a pizza party from the P&C. The other classes we have decided deserve something for their efforts so there will be zooper doopers coming their way soon as well. Bunnings is letting us enter 2 trees so Prep C's tree will also be entered into the main competition. ... This is being held at Bunning's Lawnton Christmas Family Night on Thurs 5th Dec. So we encourage all families to pop into Bunnings on Thursday and put a vote in for Lawnton.....we might just win a BBQ for the school. Merry Christmas to all

13.01.2022 How can you help? There are endless ways in which you can help us provide support! If you have time to give, we are always looking for volunteers in Café 4501 and helpers for our events. Show your support at our events or fundraising ventures, both inside and outside of school. ... Come along to our meetings! The 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6pm, in the staff room upstairs in the office. Provide feedback, give suggestions, have a say! We love having as many people as possible at our meetings to help us decide what the majority of our parents and families want or need. Are you creative? Do you have a knack for arts and crafts? Are you good at planning events? Do you have big ideas on how to raise money? If you answered YES to any of the above questions: WE WANT YOU! 07.01.2022 LSS SCHOOL BUILDING FUND.... As we come to the end of the financial year a reminder that you can donate to the School Building Fund. All donations over $2 are Tax Deductible. She was a dynamic lady that had been a member of our school community for over 25years. Even though illness has kept her away in recent years she was always interested in what was happening within the school and wanted to be kept informed and up to date. She will be greatly missed. ...
